From that snippet, though, it seems as if James Davis' writing still contains the "horror elements" from Shield of Weeping Ghosts that I didn't like- too much, I felt, personification of things like shadows, the wind, and so on, to add some macabre horror (ie, "the wind whispered", "the shadows called out", etc.). I liked it, though.

May 11, 2009 12:22:11 This is such a great thing on the part of WotC, and it shows me they are really trying to turn things around with the disenfranchised fan-base.

Really dark stuff that I definately like after reading Davis' Bloodwalk. It's even edition neutral and free!
