I was curious which novels deal with the Spellplague, and what order should they be read? Thanks in advance. |

The story takes place in 1395-96 DR, and gives the best descriptors of the 'plague's personal effects, IMHO. Unfortunately, I just don't like the story that much, though the characters are interesting enough. "Undead," "Unclean" and "Unholy" (I think that's the correct names...) should give you a good picture of how the 'plague effected the high and mighty/political entities. Any storyline that makes the dread lord of Thay reconsider is a good one for me. "Mistshore" is probably my favorite of the stand-alone titles, so far, and it deals heavily with the loss of Mystra, though it's not clear until the end. The order you read them in won't matter, though if I were you, I'd wait 'til "Unholy" comes out before reading the first two of that trilogy. |
