starting an apothecary in the Realms

May 16, 2010 11:16:16		So my friend wants to create an apothecary in Waterdeep. His character is a 9th level Assassin and he got the idea from these novels called The Night Angel trilogy. I've read the books and strangely, the assassin in them is very similar to the class of 4E, lol.

But anyways, what I need is Realm-specific items such as plants, fauna, spices, herbs, and anything else that might be related to what an apothecary would use and possibly where I could find them in the Realms. I know that there are plants on Faerun just like there are on earth (hemlock, rubarb, rosemary, blah blah) but I wasn't sure if any source specifically mentions Faerun-specific items.

Any and all ideas, thoughts, and sources are welcome.
