| #1makuziAug 09, 2013 21:47:20 | So Ive been out of the loop for a little bit. I just picked up the Companions and watched all the youtube videos about The Sundering. My question is does anyone know how we are to go about making characters to play in the encounters games? I looked on the character builder but its all still 4E. Thanks in advance |

| #5AndrekanAug 13, 2013 13:05:17 | When the Weave flashes back, Spellscars don't work and spellcasting reverts back to the older style leaving many of the arcane powers of 4E unstable. Wizards find themselves having to retrain their casting styles by seeking out old spellbooks and tomes. c.1479 DR the Weave Reforms. Divine Magic seems to be fine but the way of casting Arcane magic is altered. I am not sure if things are completely unusable or if the requirement for spells are changed to the older ways when the Weave was in place as it Is Now in 1479 DR. I suppose Abier is slowly withdrawing. |

The weave reforms and is accessible to the old ways of magic ie dnd next and b. When mystra returns. And do a and b have to both be in play before dnd next can be used in the forgotten realms. |

| #8AndrekanFeb 10, 2014 15:51:08 | Well, I've been very busy and just happened to look in on the Forum as I was about to head out and do my weekly Realms Game, so sorry for the late reply
Example: a character stumbled upon an Ancient Armor set piece by piece (almost as if it were bringing itself together) once the player got the full set there is a cost for the power (the absorption of a 50gpv or greater gemstone once a week). The player learns about many vague powers granted by the armor through actions and visions, which are being granted and they relate to secrets only a Master of Thieves would know. Somehow the player is gaining lore related to Mask.
So have fun with it be open to change and do what you want but let the players do what they want and see where they take it. I have been using some novel events but also keeping close to all previous lore related to areas and some of those old goodies I've used before. |
