I find it coincidental that the Adventurer's Vault 2 preview utilizes a similar mechanism. ---- Tattoo Warlock of Thay "You want to see my tattoo? How about up close and personal?" Prerequisites: Warlock; background of Thay Your knowledge of Thay has allowed you to become friends with many of the Red Wizards of Thay. You have helped them in many cases and they have returned the favor. They have given you a powerful Tattoo, which binds a powerful spell to your body. Tattoo Warlock of Thay Path Features Tattoo Focus of Thay (11th Level): You pick a Tattoo from the list below and you gain the power listed with that tattoo and gain +2 to the related skill. Whenever you use the related skill, the Tattoo pulses. Cat - Skill: Stealth, Power: Cat's Claws; Dog - Skill: Athletics, Power: Dog's Bite; Bear - Skill: Endurance, Power: Bear's Hug; Snake - Skill: Thievery, Power: Snake's Venom; Scorpion - Skill: Intimidate, Power: Scorpion's Sting; Bat - Skill: Streetwise, Power: Bat's Screech; Spider - Skill: Acrobatics, Power: Spider's Web. Tattoo Action (11th Level): Whenever you use an action point to make another action, you can spend a healing surge. You do not gain healing but you regain the use of your Tattoo power. Tattoo Majesty (16th Level): You may spend a healing surge once per day to allow you to use your Tattoo power as an At-Will power for that encounter only. Tattoo Warlock of Thay Spells The Tattoos Cat's Claws Tattoo Warlock of Thay Feature Tendrils of energy flow from your tattoo and form the shape of claws on your hands. _______________________ Encounter ✦ Arcane Minor Action Melee Prerequisites: Member of the Tattoo Warlock of Thay Paragon Path; Cat tattoo Target: One enemy Attack: Dexterity+2 vs. AC or Constitution+2 vs. AC _______________________ Hit: 2d4 + 1d6 + DEX or CON modifier damage. Effect: Add your DEX modifier to your next attack roll even if it's already added to it as part of the attack. Effect: Add your CHA modifier to your next attack roll even if it's already added to it as part of the attack. Scorpion's Sting Tattoo Warlock of Thay Feature Tendrils of energy flow from your tattoo and form the shape of a giant scorpion's sting rising above your head. _______________________ Encounter ✦ Arcane Minor Action Melee or Ranged 2 Prerequisites: Member of the Tattoo Warlock of Thay Paragon Path; Scorpion tattoo Target: One enemy Attack: Dexterity+2 vs. Reflex or Charisma+2 vs. Reflex _______________________ Hit: 1d12 + CHA or DEX modifier poison damage. Effect: Add an additional 1d4 poison damage to your next damage roll. Bat's Screech Tattoo Warlock of Thay Feature Tendrils of energy flow from your tattoo and form the shape of a bat's head over your own. _______________________ Encounter ✦ Arcane, Thunder Minor Action Close blast 3 Prerequisites: Member of the Tattoo Warlock of Thay Paragon Path; Bat tattoo Target: All enemies in blast. Attack: Intelligence+1 vs. Will or Charisma+1 vs. Will _______________________ Hit: 2d6 + INT modifier thunder damage and the enemy is stunned until the end of your next turn. Miss: The enemy is dazed until the beginning of your next turn. Spider's Web Tattoo Warlock of Thay Feature Tendrils of energy flow from your tattoo and form the shape of a spider's web all around you. _______________________ Encounter ✦ Arcane Minor Action Close burst 1 Prerequisites: Member of the Tattoo Warlock of Thay Paragon Path; Spider tattoo Target: All enemies in burst. Attack: Intelligence+1 vs. Will or Charisma+1 vs. Will _______________________ Hit: 2d6 + INT modifier damage and the enemy is immobilized. Miss: 1d6 damage and the enemy is not immobilized.
#2 Undrhil Dec 10, 2008 20:38:56	New Feats Skillful Tattoo Prerequisite: Tattoo Warlock of Thay Paragon Path, Level 18 Description: You gain +4 to the skill related to your tattoo, instead of +2. Empowered Tattoo Prerequisite: Tattoo Warlock of Thay Paragon Path Description: Double any damage dealt by your Tattoo power. Do not double any incidental damage, such as Sneak Attack or Warlock's Curse damage. Maximized Tattoo Prerequisite: Tattoo Warlock of Thay Paragon Path, Empowered Tattoo, Epic Level Description: Double any additional damage done through your Tattoo power, as well. Tattoo Copycat Description: If an enemy is using a Tattoo power, you may roll INT, WIS, CHA vs. Will to gain the use of their Tattoo power as your next Standard Action in this encounter. The enemy uses the Tattoo power as normal. Tattoo Freeze Prerequisite: Tattoo Warlock of Thay Paragon Path Description: The damage dealt by your Tattoo power may be typed as cold damage. Declare this before declaring your attack.

#4 Undrhil Dec 13, 2008 16:09:09	Changed name of the Level 12 Utility power to "Tattoo Sacrifice" since having it named Tattoo Power would cause some confusion since I reference "your tattoo power" in some of the feats and other features.
#5 lord_rock Dec 20, 2008 0:11:28	Pretty cool concept... until you get to the feats. Some of the att's deal a bit more dmg that they really should and a few of the feats are very very powerful. Great work though. Keep it up.
