Tell me of the Moonshae Dwarves

Feb 12, 2009 2:41:55 All I can find are scattered single sentances here and there about dwarves on the Moonshae Isles. Mostly from a 2nd edition moonshae accessory.
Dwarvenhome tunnels
Highhome
Some unknown clan under seige by giants (I cant find the sentance anymore)
Some in Myrloch Vale panning for gold...
Some mining for the northmen in Olm

But now we're in 4e and an advanced timeline. So...

Are there any dwarven holds left on the Moonshaes?

Feb 12, 2009 11:12:42 The Grand History p.114 shows that their used to be a community called Dennin's Delve somewhere on the Moonshaes (it doesn't say exactly). I believe Highhome was the major center of dwarven activity on the isles but there is precious little lore to be found Tsuul.

In 4E? I'd say that any dwarven communities on the surface (e.g. Cambro) or below the isle of Gwynneth have been forced to evacuate given the expansionistic fey presence there now. The Dwarvenhome tunnels connecting Gwynneth and Callidyrr would be infested with fomorians and their thralls. I don't know if Highhome's location was ever locked down. If I had to pick I'd say the dwarven nation exists in the Lisbunt Mountains (north of Caer Callidyrr, and beyond the Fairheight Mountains) and remains to this day.

-The long and the short of it is: We don't know. Nothing has said that there aren't, but nothing has said that there are, either. Normally, the rule goes that, until something says specifically that something doesn't exist, it exists.
