I have a cleric of Tempus in my group of players. After some reading and discussion we/he came to the conclusion that he will never raise a fallen in battle and he will refuse to be raised from the dead himself if he dies in battle.
But how is it? Do clerics of Tempus raise those who have fallen honorably in battle? (And later honor them in at The Feast of the Moon.)
Thanks in advance.

The old Faiths and Avatars book also gives Battleguards access to necromancy sphere (and a rather heavily necromantic specialty spell to boot), so there's that. Now, with Norse mythology being an obvious inspiration for Tempuran afterlife and considering their reverence of the fallen, it's certainly reasonable to assume that regardless of the issue of raising the dead, the choice of coming back from the dead would be a very rare occurrence among the faithful.
In the interest of smoother gameplay though -- and this is pure conjecture, obviously -- I would consider it a sufficient excuse for a dead Tempuran to take the "only mostly dead" approach to resurrection, or deem that there was foul play involved when they still have glorious battles ahead. |

Thanks for the answer. It confirms our reasoning and solution. The cleric will raise others but will most probably not accept to be raised himself. Definitely not if killed in battle.
