I'm DMing a 4e game and I'm planing to take the party there. I've searched through the 4e FR books and there wasn't any information about Icewind Dale and the Ten Towns. Is there some knowledge about the fate of the region post-spellplague? Something of note that I could use?

Thanks in advance.

Post-spellplague, only the most recent novels by Salvatore will have info, and the regional details may not be many at all (mostly just characterization and cultural things).  There aren't any sourcebook-styled or DDI-type articles on the Icewind Dale region yet.  My guess is that they won't have any, and leave it all up to Salvatore for the most part.

From the novels, I understand that Many-Arrows has stood for the past century and grown somewhat as a "real" nation of orcs, and to some degree there's even trade with some other states in Luruar (the new name for the Silver Marches).  So there's semi-friendly group of orcs near the dwarves.  Way over on the Ten-towns side of things, it's very likely that not a lot of things have changed.

Isolated communities tend to stay somewhat insular, for the most part.  There may have been some melting back of the High Ice, and it may be somewhat greener and less icy / rugged, but they haven't said much of anything about this possibility.
