Can someone post the stats for me please? I'm at work and don't have access to the book right now. It's in Anauroch: The Empire of Shade, p.147 I believe.

Thank you.

-If I recall correctly (and I might not be), the Chalice of Amaunator didn't actually do anything special...

You posted this in the Running the Realms forum as well. Next time please post a topic in only one spot.

After my initial post I realized there was a more appropriate section to post this in so I did. I was unable to delete my original post otherwise I would have.

I don't have that book handy, but the Chalice of Amaunator is an artifact that can create "liquid sun". This in turn can destroy shadow weave magic (items or areas) as a disjunction effect in 3.5e rules.

-1/Day sunbeam effect @CL 18. Chalice must be filled with a flammable liquid.

-1/Month plane shift to only 2 destinations, The Material Plane, or The House of the Triad, no matter what plan the user leaves from. To use this power the chalice must be filled with a natural unaltered substance, such as water taken from a stream, sand from a beach, or even leaves or tufts of grass.

-Thats not all of it. Will send pm with the rest. :D

I needed to type this up anyway, to send to my players, so here we go:
Bold denotes exact wording from original.

Price: Major Artifact
Body Slot: --
Caster Level: 20th
Aura: Overwhelming; (DC 27) evocation
Activation: -- (held)
Weight: 2 lb.

Bejeweled alabaster chalice about the size of two human fists stacked one atop the other, comes with two golden seals, one on each side. These seals can be slipped out of their mountings.

It is self-identifying--while holding the chalice with both seals in place, one power per minute is revealed with corresponding command(s).

1/day: Sunbeam effect (caster level 18th). Chalice must be filled with any flammable liquid, such as lamp oil or alcohol.

1/month: Plane shift effect, except the only two destinations allowed are the Material Plane and the House of the Triad, no matter what the starting point is. Chalice must be filled with any natural, unaltered substance, such as stream water, beach sand, or tufts of grass.

1/month: Chalice can produce liquid sun. Requires both seals, four vials of holy water, and a full round action. Once created, the liquid sun must be kept in the chalice until used, although it doesn't spill unless the bearer wills it so. Nor will it dilute if underwater, and so forth. It can hold liquid sun indefinitely, but no other powers can be used.

Liquid sun produces illumination equal to a daylight spell while in chalice, and can be hurled from the chalice as a splash weapon with a range of 30 feet.

If splashed on the ground or flung into the air, liquid sun produces a maximized sunburst effect, heightened to 9th level (save DC 24), with a caster level 25 with regard to damage (but not range). Chalice user and his allies are not blinded by the sunburst effect. Effect is centered on where splash weapon lands (see Throw Splash Weapon, PH 158).

Liquid Sun poured or splashed on a Shadow Weave magic item, or on a creature, object, or magical effect brought into being through Shadow Weave magic, produces a Mordenkainen's disjunction effect (caster level 20th). Only the creature, object, or magical effect liquid sun touches is affected (along with all equipment). Shadow Weave magic is automatically disjoined on a direct hit. If a subject is merely splashed, there is a 50% chance that the subject is disjoined.

Shadow Weave artifacts or any epic Shadow Weave effects resist the liquid sun's effects for 1d10 rounds.

Liquid sun against shadow/undead creatures produces a disintegrate effect (caster level 20th), dealing 20d6 damage on direct hit, 10d6 on a splash. Either way, Fortitude save (DC 21) halves the damage.

If liquid sun strikes a target that falls into more than one category, all applicable effects occur. Chalice user decides the order the effect are applied.
