Hi All,

Thanks to Neverwinter I am returning to running the Realms for the first time in a....well a long long time. Is there anywhere on the internet where i can find out whats happened to all the different gods. I know several have died from earlier editions but id like to find out what specifically happened to them.

Thanks.

Info is scattered all over the place; I suppose the simplest place would be the FR wiki.

forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Spellplag...

Keep in mind that even though years have past since the 4E Spellplague-era deicides were revealed, there hasn't been a lot of detail given to them. Even some of the novels that have touched on the falls of certain deities (The Ghost King and Deneir, or The Empyrean Odyssey and Helm/Mystra/Azuth) have given next to nothing when describing their fates. Others, such as Downshadow, Shadowrealm, and Ed Greenwood's recent Sage of Shadowdale trilogy, give greater hints/teasers/ideas as to what came of the dead deities. In most cases, there's a fair deal of "gray" as to how exactly they perished or what became of them during the upheaval.

Also, some deities were not "killed" outright, but revealed to be aspects of other deities (such as the revelation that Talos was an aspect of Gruumsh).

I've been dealing with Helm and (to a lesser extent) Tyr in my books, so if you have any questions about those two in particular, let me know.

Not going to post all that here, so as not to spoil the books.

Cheers

Hi Erik,

Thanks for the info. As an aside ive really enjoyed reading the Neverwinter book and I know you were involved with that so thankyou ! It brought me back to the Realms.

The group im running for is my son (aged 13) and one of his friends along with one of my old gaming group to help me teach the 'young uns'. We have a Shade Blackguard and a Shade Nethermancer, the third character gets created tomorrow night. So far no religious zealouts so gods aren't likely to play as much of a part as i first feared. I guess we will see !

I've got a Party of Adventurers starting an Epic Quest into the Planes and have decided to drop in some of the old Dead Evil Gods as Exarches locked away in areas of the Abyss and in a Chamber on a certain level of Hell.  These are much weakend by being neglected of course but perhaps I've said too much.  They may slip through here and read.  They are now fore warned to tread careful with their glory for Evil is lost and in wait to be found.  Ha ha ha he umSealed
