The Frost Folk, Furry Elves and High Speed Wind (Fall of Highwatch)

Jan 31, 2010 20:02:17 Just wraped up The Fall of Highwatch and I am curious as to the origion/game mechanics of The Frost Folk. I wasn't sure if they were in the Players Guide, as I only have the Campaign Guide, and if that is so I will obtain one.

Also I was curious as to the Mechanics of Lycanthrope in the Forgotten Realms, if it might also be detailed seperately or should it just be done by 4e standard. This question of course is inspired by Lendri, for whom I'm not even sure if that is indeed what he is. Very interesting.

On another mechanics note I was wondering what we would classify Menduarthis class wise. Warlock or somesuch? I confess to not even know where to begin.

All information and speculation is highly apperciated.

p.s. Any speculation on Roakh would also be great. Thanks.

Feb 01, 2010 9:07:10 The frost folk origins are near the Great Glacier , they are known from previous editions/novels ( but i dont know if there are stats ).

Lendri is no Lycanthrope in the meaning of a Werewolf, he is Vil Adanrath (sp?) what in essence is just a Lythari tribe - so a shapechanging elf ( dont know if there is a 4th edition write up )

Menduarthis i think is a cold related wizard/sorcerer .

Roakh is a shapechanging ( Crow ) Fey - we will see more of them ( Fey) in the future i think

Feb 16, 2010 12:37:57 Heck, if they will write it up in Dragon or Dungeonm, and give us 4e Lythari... I would be such a happy camper! I always thought the Lythari were a great idea, but it seemed to get minimal support.

Tried to have one in my FRealms homebrew, and we used a shifter for race, but were not satisfied with that.

Feb 18, 2010 6:54:18 Menduarthis is a frost related eladrin, a minor fey-lord in his own right. His powers are probably not particularly well defined and the result of his association/adoption by the frost queen and not through training.
