| #1biomanteMay 18, 2010 23:25:47 | Is there any information concerning the activities of this Drow organization in the new continent? I was planning to create a Drow character from the Windrise Ports (I was thinking of Sambral in particular), a descendant from Spellplague refugees that grew bored of their peoples' traditional ways (Lolth worship in particular)and became associated with the Syndicate, migrating eventually to the returned continent. But when I was reading through Dragon 376 I noticed the Upperdark Slave background... and realized that even in Abeir is the same old story: Drow are slavers, not-to-be-trusted underdark monsters, etc. So, my "a new beginning" character concept will prove more difficult to develop (or to be believable in first place). Is there any additional useful information out there that could help me develop this character? Thanks PS: While I am at this, any new 4E info on the Jaezred Chaulssin? |
| #2The_SilverswordMay 19, 2010 4:41:50 | Id never even heard of the Horizon Syndicate! I was diggin through books, lookin online and I was about to get back on here and ask you what the hell you were talking about, until I came across this : www.wizards.com/DnD/Article.aspx?x=dnd/d.... Ahhhh ok I vaguely remember them now, but no, as far as I know no real mention of them in Returned Abeir, but as I understand it they're a world wide organisation so it would make perfect sense for them to be operating there, perhaps your character is instrumental in establishing ties and making contacts there? And as far as the Jaezred Chaulssin goes, other than the little blurb they get in the 4e FRCG, I havnt heard any more about them. Theyve been booted out of Ched Nasad and have returned to the ruined city of Chaulssin, which exists half in and half out of the Shadowfell (sounds interesting). They have been taking jobs from the Netherese but refuse to be absorbed into the Shade Empire. As far as I know thats it. Im behind on my novel reading so its possible either one my be mentioned in one of the novels? They may also be in some LFR adventures, not really sure. |
