I'd like to see your opinion on the children of the mentioned couples.

Some kids are official, the existence of some is my theory.

The time is 1400 DR, and I'd like to see the short write-up (AL race class level) in 3.5.

I'd like to see some of your ideas.

Vala + Dexon

Takari + Kuhl

Calihye + Artemis

Amnestria + Elaith

Ellery + Jarlaxle

Arilyn + Danilo

elf female + Elaith (that is, Azariah)

Tanalasta + Rowen (that is, Azoun V)

Maura + Lamruil

I'll chime in on the one couple I know a little bit:

Maura and Lamruil

Maura seemed very headstrong (i.e. high Cha and Wisdom) and seemed strong for a human girl (high Str and Con)

Lamruil is more of a witty type (high Cha and Int) good with both reflexes and coordination (high Dex even for an elf)

Their halfelf child will gravitade depending on gender. So a girl would likely be a strong halfelf ranger (favouring a  twoweapon build) and a boy towards the more roguish types (cunning bard or rogue build).

BIG thanks for the reply!

I'm wondering about the others now. And I've found new interesting couples, too:

Ashemmi + Dag Zoreth

Ilnezhara + Jarlaxle (but I prefer Ellery)

Simbul + Elminster

Ilsevele + Fflar

A few more.

Shandril + Narm (they had a girl, or so I heard)

Laeral + Khelben (Krehlan and his twin, I need something about his twin)

Ruha + Lander

Please, big please, answer! I know something about young king Azoun, and the Maura's child, but I'd like to hear more from you.

Let's pray to Chauntea that Elminster and Simbul never have children...

I can't really speculate, there's too many possibitlies, and most of these characters didn't really have a detailed, distinct personality, and with genes you never know with all the info. Ok, one, Vala and Dexon, hairy, burly and big child.

Uh, I was asking about the couples from the Return of the Archwizards. So, Vala (maybe) with Galaeron, and Keya with Dexon.

The idea is hilarious though.

As for El and Simbul - why would it be that bad?

Hmm Vala and Galaeron, strong-willed, independent, brave, skillful in magic and swordplay, a bit cynical, not so cheerful.

Keya and Dexon, a calmer child, responsible, black hair, don't know.

For Simbul and El, pretty sure it would be a sex fiend, and with all that arcane talent very dangerous.

Just going to describe the ones I remember. Sorry I don't have time to give them stat write-ups, but still. EDIT: Added a couple more.

Takari + Kuhl - I imagine a son, favoring his mother's elven features. Deep bond with nature, spends his leisure time exploring the wilds. His relationship with his mother is strong. He didn't have his father to raise him, so Takari did all the work. Doesn't consider Galaeron much of a father figure, and may resent him for his treatment of Takari (she's one of his lady loves). I'm picturing a Ranger, although Druid is also tempting. Perhaps he one day chooses to return to Evereska to see if he will be accepted, or heads to Myth Drannor to start anew. Alignment wise? I'd say CN.

Vala + Galaeron - I'm going with son again. Fiery eyes and pointed teeth, which he often flashes in a dangerous grin. Doesn't much care for his father's heritage. He admires the finesse and wisdom of his elven blood, aye, but he considers hiding away in a cloaked city unimpressive, compared with the hardy fortitude of his mother's people. Proficient with handaxes, and sacrifices reach for sheer strength. Loves his parents, but he doesn't get along with Takari's son, with whom he grew up. He considers Takari's son to be a gloomy pain in the arse, and he isn't too fond of the resentment he sees in the other man's eyes whenever Galaeron is around. Whereas Takari's son is reserved and focused, Vala's is more of a wild child. He can easily lose himself in battle, and he's a whirlwind when angered. Fighter (though a bit of Barbarian is tempting). CG (he's got a good heart, even if he can be pretty fierce).

Calihye + Artemis - A daughter, sharp-eyed and lithe with a thick mane of hair. She's charming and knows how to use her looks to her advantage. Has nimble fingers and a dazzling smile. Scrounged together a life with her mother before setting out on her own. A talented thief who, when cornered, goes for the jugular. Not the assassin her father is, but she's not too shabby at picking off a target for a price. Rogue or Assassin, or both. CN as well.

Amnestria + Elaith - A daughter (take that, Arilyn). Doesn't possess the vigor her mother had, nor the keen wit her father possessed. I imagine her as being rather blase about most things. Not because she considers herself high and mighty, but because she feels disconnected from the world. Rarely smiles or frowns, prefers a neutral expression at all times, and has practiced not to let her eyes betray her feelings. Isn't sociable, though she'll be polite when forced in a social situation. Regal and almost ethereal; her fey heritage would literally leave non-fey spellbound by her beauty and grace. I'm thinking along the lines of Sorceress, NG.

Arilyn + Danilo - Already covered this one, my friend. *wink wink*

elf female + Elaith (that is, Azariah) - Rose to power in her father's syndicate at a young age (basically her late teens). She isn't as cunning as her father, but she's every bit as intelligent and calculating. Considers Waterdeep a pearl for her taking. Harbors no ill will towards her father and has no intentions of betraying him. Rather short even for an elf, with silvery hair and striking blue eyes. Skilled with a sword, but prefers going sword and dagger. Very strong about her religious convictions. Considers the Seldarine the greatest deities of all, and looks down upon other gods. Knows the identities of a couple Masked Lords, too. Gets along well with Arilyn and her bloodline. Elaith kept her in the dark about his bond with Arilyn and Amnestria. I'd go Rogue/Wizard. CG (or maybe CN).

Tanalasta + Rowen (that is, Azoun V) - Well, he'd be a chip off his grandfather's block. I.e. bedding every lass in sight. It's his namesake. Very level-headed and likes to think things through, considers all possibilities. Extremely intelligent, perhaps the most intelligent man to ever rule Cormyr. Disdains injustice, and though he accepted the strength of the nobles, he didn't let them hold their power over the heads of the commoners. Skilled at swordplay and strategy, with a love of military texts and foreign literature. Worships Chauntea and Tempus moreso than any other deities. Fighter all the way. LG.

Simbul + Elminster - Silver-haired male, with a long mane of hair. You guessed it. Total nymphomaniac. Seriously. This kid's got a problem. I'm envisioning a son, just so El can be surpassed in the lechery department. A helluva spellcaster, and blew his peers out of the water. Grew up in the Dalelands and studied under his father, then roamed the continent upon coming of age. Mastered his art and puts it to good use - by slaying those who threaten the innocent. Big proponent of justice, and the execution of such. Considered a vigilante by most folk (the Dalesmen being a notable exception). Wizard/Sorceror, surprise surprise. And believe it or not (I know, total mindblow)... LN.

Though on the subject of Lamruil+Maura, I don't think they would have actually had time to have children, and if they'd had any it seems likely they would have died in the fall of Auseriel, or disappeared with their mother. (Grgh, why did they have to do that anyway, it's not like the plot thread will ever have anything at all done with it, yeah, let's just leave it hanging with more annoying tragedy, next time let's remember what plot threads have already gotten picked up on and used shall we...)

Thank you very much! It's great. Really, with your ideas, I don't need actual stat-ups.

Anyone else?

@ above:

Well, I don't like the fall of Auseriel. No one has yet said Maura is 100% dead. And if she had a child, she'd be even more careful to show up somewhere.

Well, neither are very stable. And we don't reallyneed a child that is overloaded with power from birth, imo.

Well, I did a kid of Jarlaxle and Triel that has a bit of experience under his belt (more than those in this thread) and is still a CR 11 character. My friend loved him. Said it was great to see someone so ordinary result from a couple of powerful drow.

So the child of Simbul and El would not be "overloaded with power" too much. CR 11-12 at most.

No. SurprisedCoolCoolCoolCoolCoolCool Good question though.

Well, I hatched that idea before I knew Jarlaxle was her brother. And based on the fact she had no known lovers... House Patrons... whatever, I thought the Bregan D'aerthe leader would look nice there.

Well i dont think theres anything official on the couples you brought up, so just make it up. You could do it randomaly. 1d2 1=male offspring, 2=female; 1d4 1=they favor the mother, 2=they  favor the father, 3= theyre a good mix, 4=theyve rebeled against their parent and followed their own path roll randomly for class. maybe something like that?

I try to help out when i can. I admit ive fallen behind on my Realms reading. Im not real familiar with some of the couples you brought up. If you had Alias and Dragonbait I would be totally all over that one. Not sure if they would even be able to reproduce, or what a half Saurial/Human would look like, but still in the Realms anything is possible.

I'm afraid that I'm not too familiar with the BG figures, even though I have Shadows of Amn and Throne of Bhaal on my shelf. However, I'll try to come up with something a) based on what little I've gleamed about them and b) when I have the spare time to really mull it over.

Ashemmi and Sememmon have a daughter (from LFR: SPEC1-1 Black Cloaks and Bitter Rivalries / ELTU3-1 Good Intentions).
Her name is Nualla A'Ashemmi, and she is currently the leader of the Dusk Talons (the thieves guild) in Iriaebor. She has a particular hatred for the Zhentarim (having even been captured and enslaved by them for a time), and she directs her Talons to fight the Zhents whenever possible.
Nualla is a half-elf with long dark hair. She is a worshipper (but likely not a priestess) of Selune, and prominently wears a necklace with Selune's symbol.

Note that the fate of Ashemmi and Sememmon is as yet unrevealed.
