#1 chapien Jul 24, 2008 19:11:08	Hello all, I am running a 3.5 Realms game in Cormyr with the following build: Level 4 Human Cleric of Helm Level 4 Human Dragonborn (the feat, not the race) Sorcerror Level 2 Human half-vampire Rouge (LA explains his level twoness) Level 4 Human Warlock I know, they are all humans;). Not my fault. Anyway, a new player is going to join the group. He will be a gnome bard starting at level 4. He wants to be a techsmith eventually, which is fine by me, but on of the requirments says that he needs to be able to cast minor object, a sorcerror/wizard spell, and he doesn't wish to multi-class, other than with Techsmith. Should I make a house rule so he can cast that spell as a bard spell? Please help, Chapien:D

One of the reasons of prestige classes are their requirements, and I find that precise requirement to have some importance, but if you think it hasn't, you can change it to "able to cast Xth-level spells" with X being the spell level of minor object. Level 4 Human Dragonborn (the feat, not the race) Sorcerror Feat? Don't you mean the Dragontouched feat? Dragonborn in 3rd ed is only the "template-esque" race in Races of the Dragon.

I forget which she was... we haven't met in a month and aren't going to play for another month... I just remember her only special feature is wings... I think it was Dragontouched though.
#4 miscdebris Jul 25, 2008 22:03:52	That would be Dragonborn, the LA 0 template. My dragonborn kobold (sig) has the wings trait. Bards don't make all that great of techsmiths.

I suggest the feat Arcane Disciple from Complete Divine, which you can use to gain access to the Craft Domain (which Gond grants). This will then give that Bard the ability to cast minor creation. Plus it fits the character to a T. There may be other ways of gaining access to a domain or a particular spell, but I think that's the easiest or most straightforward.

Now he won't have to remake his charecter:D It was partially my fault he made a bard... I thought bards could cast minor creation... but I am a new DM, and all DM's make mistakes, especially new ones:D
