| #118DELTAAug 08, 2008 14:26:19 | -The Treasure of Talon Pass is up on the main page. :D Show Free RPG Day took place Saturday, June 21st, at participating friendly local gaming stores near you. Wizards of the Coast was proud to be part of the event, offering a unique 4th Edition adventure (Treasure of Talon Pass). For your enjoyment, we offer this adventure for your continued use. Treasure of Talon Pass (20.2 Mbs PDF) In Treasure of Talon Pass, the player characters explore an ancient mountain garrison in search of a jade chalice reputed to be worth a small fortune. But the path to the jade chalice isn’t easy. A dragon and its kobold minions have taken up residence in the garrison, and undead soldiers still haunt its halls as well. Nor are the PCs the only ones seeking the jade chalice. A band of orc mercenaries known as the Nightfists are after the chalice… and they arrive at the dungeon only minutes before the PCs. Treasure of Talon Pass is designed to take 2nd-level characters to 3rd level. It is full of familiar features of the Dungeons & Dragons game, including traps, tricky kobolds, an evil wizard, and of course, a dragon. |

Just south of that, fairly close to the FRCG start-area, is the Dawn Pass, through the Greypeak Mountains. Evereska/Elven ruins would be your best bet for your forgotten Kingdom in this area, but just about anything will work, from Sarrukh to the Netherese. If you prefer Cormyr, then the Thunderpeaks would be the natural place to go (where many others have placed H1 and H2). You could use the Thunder Gap for your pass, and say that the 'long, lost kingdom' from the module was Orva (canon), a Netherese survivor state. Looks like you wouldn't have had to wait long for this anyway, MT. Well, I still thank you anyway. ![]() |
