Fzould got the worse position of exzarch ever.

He is the exarch of Service to Evil. Which pretty much means he is the exarch of minions. I can just imagine the the prayers he get
"Fzoul, can I please have more than one HP?"
"Fzoul, please guide my aim to make this crit mean something."
"Fzoul, please get me a raise"

Also the ne stats for Fzoul(well atleast in terms of continueing the joke) are
AC:50 RD:36, FD:51, WD:53, HP:1
:D

I can't claim complete credit for this joke, both gamergambit and msatran contributed ideas....

I disagree, not that on the point that picking up horse poop vs be constantly harressed by minions...no though I think it could go either way...

But on the fact that Fzoul doesn't go home the after the day is over and relax...minions die around the clock in FR(especialy with the new rules about minions)

-The guy who picks up poop is constantly harassed by other people AND poop. I'd rather just be harassed by minions. At least you know in the back of your mind that they're gonna die eventually.

Bah! I think Fzoul hired you to spread disinformation, so that folks don't realise he has the best job in the realms. Seriously, I would kill for a job where even the most serious screw up still winds me a promotion. Can you imagine falling upwards for a living? Must be pretty darn sweet.

...I hope you mean the politicians and not the entire government. The Military (U.S. Army, at least), for one, in no way endorses or upholds this statement.

No, you're speaking as Combat Arms. Come take a look at the "REMF" side of the house, and you may well be surprised at the idiocy that goes on, or the idiots who manage to go places - people who are more adept at advancing their careers, to the exclusion of anything else... but then, we're getting off-topic here. :P

Hmm, maybe so... I know from personal experience that if you aren't competent at your job (combat arms, in this case) you tend to get killed, get others killed or get the boot. There is no ground to stand on for screw ups in that line of work.

So... worse job... I think it could possibly be Simbul's. Having to babysit a mad, elderly hair trigger seems (to me) to be a crap job.

*Not saying El is like that, just that if it is the case, I would really feel for her.

The lower ranks may not, but a lot of career officers and quite a few NCOs make your statement iffy at best.

Just remember the old saying "Know what to kiss and when." I saw a lot of that, people not good at their job, but their lips firmly attached to the posterior of their superiors. Think Frank Burns from MASH.

I was in a non-field MI unit, and much if my schooling at DLI (Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Ca) was with officers and NCOs as classmates, so I got to see a wide variety of idiotic leadership.

Ahh, I see. I went from no name to NCO in a combat unit and never had the pleasure to see that for myself. I was a hardcore, no nonsense soldier myself, so I tended to keep people in line for the most part.

I was blessed with being in units of like-minded soldiers who worked hard and did there job well (aside from a few unfortunate people that got axed in one way or another).

Edit; sorry, I'll stop hijacking this thread...

I just want to point out that Ed Greenwood has hinted that it's more likely that Elminster wound up caring for the Simbul.

The worst NPC job I can think of?

A Sage/Historian that has to re-write Toril's history everytime there is a new edition.

WIZ-O. Sort of NPCs on the boards, in that they don't post as WIZ-Os, though a few may use other names to make personal posts (IMHO). They got shafted with the change since they are forced to arbitrate our squabbles over the new edition.

If Keith is working on the Realms in any way, then perhaps some of it's goodness will rub off, and fix that mess he calls Eberron.

Yes he has done a outstanding job at what he has been doing on this forum( and his stuff isn't that bad, I maybe a few minority but like Alternity[and going to be running it soo], and Birtheight was a interesting world[though I didn't call much for the rules on running a country]. But he doesn't qualify for this as he is...

He has a design credit inside the FRCG, so he contributed to 4e FR

If Keith is working on the Realms in any way, then perhaps some of it's goodness will rub off, and fix that mess he calls Eberron.

Eberron isn't bad, it is just very different then the Forgotten Realms.

And it's lightyears better then 4eFR
