Yup! There was DEFINITELY no group therapy held while I was gone.

BTW, Swordboy, here's another reason why people left--the mods lost touch with the members and got over efficient at their job, while the developers remained under efficient.

Bejebuz abandoned this place with 4e. I'm supposed to be His messenger.

Unfortunately, I'm not doing a good job.

Yeah, I can agree with that, although I dont think the mods look for people to ban, someone has to report you first, I think thats another reason why people left these forums, mean posters. But yeah some people can be overly sensative, and report you over nothing, Like I dont understand why I was reported for talking about Elminster's Enchanted UndergarmentsTM which I never understood cause they was in a novel, so thats serious official Realmslore.

I think another reason why people left is edition war BS. Personally I dont care what edition everyone else plays, I dont see how that matters, I mean Realmslore is Realmslore, most of it can be used regardless of edition, LIke Ed's recent Eye on the Realms article, it gives reference to things in the past. So regardless of what edition you use, I think theres still new Realmslore for you, and still plenty to talk about.

I think its easier to just say you have a +5 to hit, instead of saying you have to roll a 15 to hit armor class zero, so if I roll a 10 then I got to sit there and figure out ok 16, 17,18,.... so I hit AC5? I always had to make a little chart at the bottom of my character sheet to keep track of THAC0, yeah im pretty bad with numbers, its a wonder that my group even trusts me to DM!

"Geeze, we've already hit this guy for 600 points of damage! ANd hes still up?"

I guess I could tell them, that oh, I forgot to carry the 2 or what ever, but I think is funner to just say uhm...yeah hes still up, but hes bloodied now. Hahahaha!

Bejebuz will SOON make his way into FR--when everyone realizes Maztica is truly gone, they will crawl to him.

That is Lord THAC0 if you don't mind

SF was referring to Bejebuz--Lord of Taco's--not Lord of THAC0's. Get wit' it. I mean, duh.

THAC0 was developed in the early stages of D&D. It was made for a D20--not a +22 bonus on combined items. I find the 3e rules more acceptable to the play, personally.

Many people forgot the subtract 20 element of THAC0

example.....

AC -2

THAC0 = 6 + roll d20 = 10 (avg.) + Str mod +4 (normal) + weapon prof. +2 + magical enchancement +2 = grand total of 24 then subtract 20 and you get -4 and thus a hit. BAB/AC going up just means they took out the additional math that wasn't required.

There's your history lesson for the day. Test on Thursday and have your parent's sign the release form for your field trip! Tongue out

24-20=4, not -4, but I would expect no less from a Kelmvorian, or Kelmvorite, or what ever in the Nine Hells you all call yourselves!

Hoar Rules!!!
