Hello all.

My current FR 3.5 campaign is moving to Calimport for a time, and I want to introduce the Twisted Rune into my plotline (The Cult of The Dragon has been my major mover-and-shaker for the game, and I'm thinking of a collaboration between the two.)
Anyway, Ive kept an half an eye open for info on the Rune for years now, but have been generally dissasisfied with the amount of it I find.

Can anyone point out sources where I can find more on them? Any info is much appreciated.

2e's Lands of Intrigue and Empires of the Shining Sea had a considerable amount on them, between both of them anyway. Cloak and Dagger also had some details on them as well. Not really up to date, but considering the whole undead thing, I doubt they've really changed to much between 2e and 3e. Don't recall seeing much mention of them in 3e beyond fairly sparse entries that were brief recaps of the sources I mentioned above.

I believe the Lords of Darkness had stuff

That could have been the recap I was referring to I suspect... couldn't recall if it was in LoD or CoR though, so I didn't mention anything by name there. :D

i'm fairly sure Champs of Ruin had nothing on the Twisted Rune in it. Wasn't there a novel that featured the group to some extent? Or am I imagining things?

Wouldn't know, don't read the novels for the most part.

2Es Lands of Intrigue is probably your best source.

Remember to keep in mind that Shoon VII is probably trying to take control of the group, which is potentially a fantastic plot line.

Don't forget Jess Lebow's Master of Chains novel -- part of THE FIGHTERS series. It features Shyressa, Runemistress of the Twisted Rune as one of the antagonists.

There's also a few choice Twisted Rune tidbits included within the story itself.

Thanks for the replies folks. I will now attempt to unearth what lore I can.
And I may use the shoon plotline, with some tweaks. For my part, the idea of getting the cult of the dragon and the run in one plotline simply makes me giddy.

That may be the one I'm thinking about
