#1 garadan Aug 04, 2008 22:28:35	I notice in my 3.0 FR handbook a little blurb at the bottom of the page with the jungles of chult talking about a creature called Uluu thalongth, It leaves me hungry for more info about it but I find absolutely nothing anywhere on the internet. Any other references to this in any other editions or anywhere elses at all for that matter? Do any of you have any suggestions how I could run it because it would fit nicely into a little plot I have for my Pc's.
#2 rinonalyrna_fathomlin Aug 05, 2008 11:22:47	It's supposed to be an elusive yet deadly monster--I believe the very first story in the Realms of the Dragons anthology has a plot point about it (although of course it doesn't actually show up). I doubt there is extensive information about it--for all I know (I could be wrong), it could just be a legend.
#3 lord_karsus Aug 05, 2008 11:55:19	-Hazy memories are linking it to Eshodowe (Sp?) somehow. -The new Chult article doesn't mention it, though, so it might not exist anymore. Of course, at the same time, it might.

I really like the idea of hundreds of cultists chanting the name Uluu Thalongth over and over in a rising crescendo as my pc's walk up until finally shadowy tendrils shoot up and engulf the cultists to fuel its unending hunger as a huge shadowy snakelike being rises up from the thick jungle floor and I say roll initiative >:D muhahahahah!!

Tarrasque (one of those "old gods" mentioned in AGHoTR that followed the Tabaxi from Katashaka), Sarrukh creation, maybe a Yuan-Ti Anathema or even a particuarlly deformed or powerful Sarrukh, maybe an aspect of Eshodowe left behind, or could just some strange dinosaur.

Internally, I always pronounced it 'Ulii Thalong'. Huh.
