I'm looking at the October 1981 issue of Dragon right now, specifically the article "Down-to-Earth Divinity", by Ed Greenwood, wherein he explains some of the background for his choices of deities in the Realms (e.g., "Gond Gond is Hephaestus (DDG, p.70) renamed." or "Mask The Lord of Shadows, sometimes called the Thieves' God, is a rewritten Hermes (DDG, p.71) stripped of justice and caduceus.")
Anyways, Umberlee is listed at the bottom of the table on page 8 of the article -- Chaotic Evil, "The B*tch-Queen", residing in the Abyss ...

Since Umberlee used to work under Talos-is-Gruumsh and she's always been about storms at sea, has she become the goddess of storms in general now that the Talos aspect is out of the picture and she's hanging out at Silvanus' place?

One might argue that sun has a big role in keeping track of time, and even tie in predictability to "as sure as the sun rises", but even in that case -- heck, especially in that case -- the implication would only be that gods govern whatever they can remotely justify poking their noses into as long as there's even the slightest obscure parallel to their sphere.

-Right, but I'm saying that, as only 'Sun' is in his sphere of influence (Man, I don't like these! Portfolio's were so much more precise!), law, order, time, justice...He might be a big proponent of said concepts, but they don't seem to fall into his jurisdiction, which is just 'sun'. Only if you want to stretch it, can I see time (But, Selûne, then would also have control of time), but not the others.
