| #2JorunhastAug 09, 2010 20:00:26 | in the previous editon of Faerun the source book Unapproachable East had some slighty oriental regions, cultures etc (correct me if I'm wrong) before you hit Kara-Tur. They haven't, to my knowledge, given any updates on the far eastern Realms. Generally, the consensus is that if WotC hasn't mentioned those areas, they still exist. So until they say differently, they probably have not changed all that much. Add in spellplague and Abeir-bits as you feel comfortable. |

Also, there's a sizeable population of Shou in the Dragoncoast, including their own fuedal state of Nathlan. I know the DC isn't the Unapproachable East, but I thought I'd throw that out there. |
| #4The_SilverswordAug 09, 2010 23:14:13 | I would say that the areas described in the Unapproachable East sourcebook are still around. The Shou have been migrating further westward as well. Theres now a large Shou population around the Sea of Fallen Stars. |

The oriental culture that was covered was largely an expatriate Shou community within the city of Telflamm. The Great Dale, Thesk, Thay, Aglarond and Rashemen all exist in the 4E Realms and there is much in Unapproachable East that is still useful post-1479D, IMO. |

But you guys pretty much answered this for me so thank you for all your input. |
