#2 Stigger May 01, 2009 14:26:20	Considering Drow of the Underdark, a FR specific title from 2e, became 'Core' in 3e, I don't see any reason why this book would be Realms specific when the term Underdark was made 'Core' last edition.

Any setting that has that type of cave system and so on that doesn't have a specific term (like Eberron, apparently), it's just called 'The Underdark'. I have no problem with that, since I never really saw it as a Forgotten Realms-specific term anyway.
#8 markustay63 May 01, 2009 19:48:56	They tried to make Night Below the catch-all for every world's 'underworld', but it never really caught on, so now everyone gets FR's Underdark. I've also heard the term "The Deep Realms" in regards to FR. As for yet another book with Underdark in the title... So much material on a region that is only used in about 10% of the campaigns (and thats being generous). In all honesty, out of the dozens of games I have run or played in, and the hundreds I was aware of (through four seperate LGS's), I have NEVER seen anyone actually adventure in the Underdark. And yet, we have about twenty books on the subject - go figure.

Underdark is cooler for the lands under the earth. Darklands sound like typical areas ruled by evil BBEG. 3Es Underdark sourcebook was THE book to get if you wanted to run a "under game" in your campaign world. It had many things that were not setting dependant and many cool places and ideas that Dms of any setting coul use. We might have only three books since 2k on the subject though unless you count those horrible 3PP items.

As for the others - the people who play in them are worthless and not worth talking to. :P I hang-out with Intelligent people, and Intelligent people like to read. If you can't be bothered reading the sourcebooks... get a job with WotC.
