I made a series of Warforged brothers.

I actually made them in two sets: one set is from Akanul and is not aware of the other set. The other set is from Waterdeep and is aware of the first set but doesn't know whether or not they can be trusted.

They have a "father" which is the master mold from which they were all formed. I won't list their stats but just their names and class. If there is any interest, I'll "flesh" them out.

Em Pii (Master Mold): Warforged Warlord

Bros. from Akanul:
Em Pii One (of Five): Warforged Rogue
Em Pii Three (of Five): Warforged Bard
Em Pii Four (of Five): Warforged Illusionist Wizard

Bros. from Waterdeep:
Em Pii Two (of Five): Warforged Swordmage
Em Pii Five (of Five): Warforged Sorcerer

You may notice there is a strict pattern of each successive model moving away from melee into the arcane arts.

Em Pii One is the least magical of the brothers. He's brash and reckless at times, which goes well with a Ruthless Ruffian.

Em Pii Two is more into the martial aspect of being a Swordmage but he still relies on arcane powers. He's an Aegis of Assault swordmage.

Em Pii Three is a straight-up music and song, Virtue of Valor Bard.

Em Pii Four is an Illusionist Wizard. He actually likes making people see things which aren't really there.

Em Pii Five is a Wildsoul Sorcerer. He's all about the randomness of magic and the mayhem that can ensue whenever he starts throwing Acid Orbs around.

Em Pii (Master Mold) is an Inspiring Warlord.

Are these for play or are they NPCs. It's a cool idea ethier way. I had one of my players make a clan of dwarves the same way. The Gempalms (from magic the gathering) had Rusty Gempalm the rouge to begin with. He was such a succes that he made Tarnished the fighter. Now Polished the Paladin.

Em Pii Master Mold is an NPC which will show up in my homebrew game (whenever *that* starts up...) but the brothers are available for me to play in LFR games. I'm going to be playing the Bard at my next gaming session.

You can expect players not to take MP3 seriously...

I had used a similar designation for spells that would create phantom bards to follow the party around and safely record their deeds. Musical Phantom 1 and Musical Phantom 2 failed. Musical Phantom 3 succeeded, so they always take along their MP3s when they go a-delving.

Sounds like Borg have invaded D&D.

-How are you going to be handling the inevitable "How did they get there?" question?

The same way players playing a Warforged character in the Forgotten Realms answers it: they are just there.

Seriously, though, there is nothing saying that a really powerful wizard couldn't have constructed them ages ago (or recently, in fact) and just let them loose upon the world. Or maybe they were once regular golems who somehow got a touch of sentience somehow? Maybe a god smiled upon them? Maybe they wished to be a real boy and are being tested?

-Which is what I was asking. Which are you going with?
