#1 dungeondude Jul 28, 2014 0:30:32	Howdy!!!   I'm loving the 5th Edition Basic, and looking forward to the  changes in the Realms. I've ran just about ALL of my past D&D campaigns in these lands, and enjoy the old flavor. I'm glad to see it's all coming back!   Now my wife, has never played. I ran a small mini-session involving a "ghost" and a little girl on a haunted farm, and she loved it! Boo-ya! She'sinterested in playing!   I am going to start a one player campaign for her. Now, she does not get into a lot of ORCS and GOBLINS and runnning around out in the forests.BUT, she thinks it would be interesting to adventure in a big city.   So, my thoughts, are to have her be a part of a very young (or low)  noble house in Waterdeep. I'm going to run this game for her, as mystery solving type adventure (s). She ejoys those types of books, and to be able to game this way, is something she is hot to do.   MY question!   DOES anyone have any updates on the City of Splendors? Power structure? Who is the current OPEN LORD of the CIty? Who are any of the big players? I used to know all of this stuff,but I haven't played in the Realms since before the whole Spellplauge things, and now the Sundering.   I stopped playing D&D when 4th Edition hit (it just wasn't for me), and I'm looking forwar to getting back into the swing of things.   Any inisght or comments, most appreciated!   Thanks!   Dungeon Dude   *I'm thinking, if need be, I could just create minor nobles and minor encounters as a start. I'm assuming the Watch and the Guard are still around. Plus, the Wards of the City are probably the same. As the new material is released, I can reveal the information.   But, I do like having a few "solid things" in place!   OK, again thanks!
