Anyone know what the Crawlers from the Ghost King are?  Are they an existing monster or something new?  If new any ideas on stats?  Obvioiusly shadow origin.  I'm thinking minions.  Claw melee basic attack.

From the Shadowfell.  Long arms, ending in enormous claws.  Short, almost non-existant stubby legs.  Described as lumpy.  Hairless.  I picture them almost like Carnage Demons but with almost no legs.

IM getting a mental picture of big bugs. Were they like insectoid or more humanoid? I realize it might be difficult to know, being as they dont have picture, maybe well have to wait for the comic book version to come out?

From The Ghost King p 92

"The thing was short and squat, a misshapen torso of black flesh and wide shoulders, with a head that looked more like a lump without a neck.  Its legs were no more than flaps of skin tucked under it, but its arms were long and sinewy, with long-fingered, clawing hands.  As Resmilitu rolled away, the creature followed by propelling itself with those front limbs, like a legless man dragging himself."

There you go, straight from R.A. Salvatore.  So any ideas from that?

I aint got a clue. I was thinkin at first that it was buggy, but now i dont know. So it actually has arms and a torso, so i guess it is more humanoid. Doesnt ring any bells. You said it was shadow based? did they encounter it in the shadowfell? It might be just something he made up for the book.

Yeah, they come from the Shadowfell through a tear so that's why I'd go with Shadow origin.

I'll look through some older Planescape stuff on the Plane of Shadows and see if anything matches up. It could be it was just made up for the book, if thats the case hopefully we'll get a write up of it. I think thats something they should do with all the books. Put out like a Dragon article or something giving us stats for major characters in the book, details of the regions in the books and so forth.

I think ill be ok. I got everything better organized now on bookshelves. Did have everything in boxes upon boxes, was a real pain digging out a particular book!

I can only check the rules comp[endium demo.

and with 5 crawlers listed

Carrion Crawler

Flayed Craler

Blackstar Crawler(death's reach)

and two variants of the carrion  enormous and  crazed.

my best guess its blackstar.

the only other place to look would be the MM2.

I dont have it

Itd be nice if they had pics on the Compendium. I'll flip through MM2 as well and Keep on the Shadowfell. I dont have any of the other modules except Tower of Spellgard, and theyre not in that one.

I have them all but I'm not finding anything that really fits the description.  Crawler is just a generic name that they use to refer to the creatures, so if there is a real monster for them out there it may not even have crawler in the name.  More and more its looking like some new monster created for the book.   Hopefully, like Silversword said, we'll get some kind of write up about them or maybe see them in the Monster Builder at some point.
