What does the word "lovac" mean?

Isn't it translated at the end of the book? I think it's "trusted firend and lieutenant"*. I think it first appeared in Godcatcher and is the term for the mortal closest mortal proxies through which the dragons play their game.

*at least that's what Tchazzar claims. Given how the dragons in Godcatcher treated their lovacs it should be more like "most usefull pawn"

(If anyone is still wondering...)

I coined the term in The God Catcher to mean the person who commands the dragon's other mortal allies (read: "willing pawns"), the "chiefest minion" if you will. In Monster Manual V, the term for a lovac was "exarch", which for obvious reasons is less appropriate in 4th edition. And anyway, for something that specific,I thought it ought to be a dragon word.

I'd have to go back through my notes, but I worked it out of another language where it meant "hunter," but in reference to the bishop piece on a chess board.

Will continue to search for references to "godcatcher" as well from now on!
