| #1darth_palidualJan 09, 2012 21:19:41 | My Dragonborn Ranger took the Scion of Arkhosia as a paragon path, and now that he is closing in on Epic very soon. I want to take the Legendary Sovereign Destiny and bring about the return of the Arkhosian Empire.erdana; font-size:x-small"> Question is with the little info I can find, I would like to know where the original empire is on the Forgotten Realms map. Thanks. |

The reason is because Arkhosia does not actually exist in the Forgotten Realms (or on its sister planet of Abeir). Rather, Arkhosia is found in the generic Points of Light setting used by the 4th Edition D&D rules as the home of all Drabonborn. The Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide gives different information for Dragonborn found there. It indicates that most Dragonborn hail from the land of Tymanther. Tymanther is a geographical fragment of a much larger nation (called Tymanchebar) that was transported from the planet of Abeir to the world of Toril (on which the nations and lands of the Forgotten Realms exist) over 100 years ago during the Spellplague. Tymanther more or less landed on and displaced the ancient human realm of Mulhorand. With all that said, the "truth" still lies with your Dungeon Master and what he or she declares to be factual in his or her game. Other then home location, Dragonborn in the Realms really are no different than Dragonborn from the Points of light setting, so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard for you and your DM to use the information I've listed above to come up with a back story that fits with the Scion of Arkhosia (maybe call it the Scion of Tymanchebar). Or you could just say that Arkhosia existed near Tymanchebar and it landed on Unther (the nation right next to Mulhorand). |

Misc said. to place it in the realms would require much tweaking. best palce to put it would be where we have no clue about. which would be Abeir itself the sister planet, but not Toril itself. the otherway of putting it in would be to make it a line of noble dragonborn or a knighthood of dragonborn... either way as Mr. Misc said its up to your dm. but I might suggest you make up a good case for it though..... |

Also, note that Dragonborn in FR have a much less positive outlook toward dragons than the default core Dragonborn. Not a reason to change anything about the character, but something to potentially use for plot hooks. |

Maybe it was considered a cult at one period during the Dragonborn oppression and they do point toward some Points of Light, forgotten, within the upper Planes. I am not sure of all the details about the Scion of Arkhosia but this could be a great seed for Homebrew, unless your trying to stay away from Skyrim like influienced ideas.![]() |

Canon-wise, "Arkhosia" isn't in LFR, but I see no problem with flavoring his Legendary Sovereign Destiny to bring about the return of a Dragonborn Empire in Returned Abeir. I couldn't imagine any LFR DM having an issue with that. ...and as Sovereign, he could probably use whatever name he wanted (kinda like using "Camelot" IRL... irrespective of prior existence). It's good to be the King. |
