-We don't have specific locations, but I believe Eric Boyd stated that the Dwarven deities were in avatars scattered around Citadel Adbar, Citadel Felbar, The Earthfast Mountains, and the Great Rift.

Do you know where excactly this information can be found? If Moradin was in a specific Citadel and what he was doing - that would be a cool thing to plot into my campaign.

No. There is nothing specific on the Dwarven Deities (other than Clangeddin) during that time.

Sucks, but....

There was a list of the known whereabouts of all deities during the ToT floating around somewhere. I think it was on the WotC website, but I just can't find it now.

Two dwarven deities we know about:
* Clangeddin fought with Labelas on Ruathym, seen in the FR comics series. His avatar was three dwarves in a gigantic earth elemental.
* Deep Duerra arrived in Dunspierrin, as the Queen Mother, and she started some wars against dwarves and drow.

I think the dwarven deities were wise and patient enough not to screw around too much, and just waited the whole mess out - unlike the human and elven deities. ;)

Just curious, but is there a reference for that? I was wondering if it was in a sourcebook, or just off the record?

Thx Lord Karsus. That is a very useful page to say the very least. One thing though, besides the fact that I didn't come any closer to Moradin or what the Dwarf Gods were doing during ToT, wasn't Tempus present at a great battle in the Dales during that time?

Nothing about Tempus that I recall - Torm fought Bane over Tantras, and Helm destroyed Mystra in Cormyr.

Even before LK's list hit the scene, that was well know. And, not just on where it pertained to dwarven deities, but with all deities. When the gods were cast down, they all (or at least the large majority) descended to a place on Toril where a power base resided for their faith.

Well, you've reached a real 3e/4e debacle. You want the info or do you want to make it up for yourself? ;)

You can pretty much do anything you want as long as it doesn't disrupt the time-space continuum.

I believe it was recorded that he was "spotted" in the Dalelands. I don't recall him ever participating in anything.

I'm a bit of a history nerd and wants to get it right, but if nothing exists I might have Moradin turn up in Mithral Hall if it fits the timeline. When was it attacked by the Drow?

No god ever turned up at Mithral Hall during the TOT. Being a bit @nal about history myself, I would advise not even pursuing that route.

As far as I remember, it was attacked by the drow right before the TOT. But....

Lolth showed up to the drow before they invaded mithral hall
The war took place after ToT
No god showed up at Mithral hall during ToT, but Fret did show up to explain what was happening and to help fix Guen
And Bane and Torm killed each other near Tantras (as MT stated) causing Midnight to have to ring the Bell of Attricus(spell) to protect the city.

There happy now you mushroom humping fungoid.

The Adventure will atart in Loudwater (ToT time, so the new map from FR Players Handbook wont work). All 6 players are Dwarfs and hail from Mithral Hall. Having Moradin turn up in MH during the ToT would give them the chance to return home as heroes (lvl 3-5), meet their God and be commanded by him. I would love to know the excact position of Moradin during ToT, as I too, am a History @nal chap..

Mithral hall being raided after the ToT seems cool enough as the Players will be high level then and can combat the Drow, Driders, Mind Flayers etc from the Underdark.

What does this mean:
No god showed up at Mithral hall during ToT, but Fret did show up to explain what was happening and to help fix Guen

And did this happen in MH?

During the ToT, Alustriel sent her sage Fredegar Rockcrusher to Mithral Hall to explain to Bruenor,Drizzt etc..that the magical chaos that was happening was not drow design. At the Start of ToT Guenwhyver (Drizzt's magical cat friend) was returning to the astral plane via the figurine of wondrous power that was the link between the 2 planes when she encountered the Chaos affecting th astral plane. Cattie-brie had to use Cutter to cut the figurine in half to save Guen. Fredegar(Fret nickname) or Harkle Harpell(not sure which one but both were there) brought a poultrice to mend the figurine ad send Guen home to heal.

All took place within Mithral Hall before the drow invasion.

As of yet there has been No mention of Moradin or any other of the dwarven pantheon near or in Mithral Hall. So if you're a true history buff I would have them encounter. The god somewhere outside Mithral Hall.

Thx Drizztsmanchild. Very informative. What book does it take place in?
Maybe they can meet Moradin in another DwarfStronghold in vicinity and then he can direct them to the defence of Mithral Hall..

Personally, my man, I don't see any problem with this taking place after the TOT. Use Drizztmanthingy's background reference on the Seige of Darkness and roll with it. Have them be part of the battle and have some tunnels collapse, separating them from the rest of the clan. They end up being the only ones that can do something to save the battle (which nobody else even knows about, nor realized) and Moradin shows up to alert them before all of Mithral Hall comes down. It's not hard, just wiggle the adventure in--it does nothing against cannon.

Didn't in one of RA Salvatore's books, Moradin somehow get imprisoned in a tooth or something like that and Bruenor rescue him when the Drow and the Dwarves went to war?

Why? LK and MT got it right. I'm just adding the story to it

Gandalug is the patron of clan Battlehammer and had passed the crown onto his son and went on his last trek. During that "death hike"(He left Mithral to die in battle as he was old by then) he and a preist met up with a young(?) Yvonnel Baerne and after short battle Gandalug and the priest were slain. But before his soul moved on Yvonnel used her magic and trapped it in his tooth and kept him that way until the ToT when the magical chaos released him.

Actually, I don't think the confusion began with LK--still trying to piece together what you and SFD were relating back and forth on. Wasn't the Pwent and Battlehammer lines long associated? Didn't Breunor originally groan at his association with Thibbledorf when he first showed up?

Yeah it was. Crom and Gandalug were good friends I think Thibb was a young one when Crom and Gand left. Battleragers were there since the beginning of the battlehammer reign.
