Call me lazy if you like (not as if it'd be a lie :embarrass ), but I don't really feel like going through the novel Tantras and finding where any specific religions were mentioned. So anyone happen to remember, offhand, which exact faiths were oppressed by the church in Tantras? I would also appreciate the chapter number in which things're described. I'm to lazy to ransack the novel, but I'm not so lazy that I won't read a single chapter if I know what I'm looking for is in that chapter. :P Thanks.

-According to the Tantras module, faiths of all kinds are represented in Tantras during this time.

Ok, so no specific names were mentioned?

-Not in the module, anyway. I don't like you enough to go flipping through the novel, so you're on your own there.

Aw hells... All I can remember is Tyrmora... And I'm not even all that sure that her church was repressed...

-Well, I'll just state the obvious: Evil faiths were certainly opposed.

I haven't read the novel (or indeed, any of the series), but in the lore, Tantras is home to temples of Torm, Tempus, Lathander, Gond, Selune, Milil and Tymora, with shrines of these gods and Waukeen, Loviatar, and Umberlee also dotted around the city (also Cyric, but he came later). The local thieves guild also has a priest of Mask.

The Class Chronicles series also placed groups of Mask and Leira worshippers in the city.

I haven't read the novel: can someone please give me a quick run-down of the church of Torm's oppression of the other faiths? Is it as bad as it sounds?

-Yes, and no. Mind you, it's been a while since I read this book, so I might be a bit rusty. The long and the short of it was that, when Torm came to Tantras, his church took it as a sign that they were the "true" faith of Tantras. Without Torms knowledge, certain priests and priestess' began harassing other churches and individuals that were in the city, because they were not Tormish, or represented things that different from the Tormish ideals.
