If the player receives one, they can make a Perception Roll (Wis DC Hard-18) to determine the contents before opening from packaging remnants, shaking, sniffing, etc.) If they make it, roll on the random table and tell them what they have. Failing that, they don't know what is inside. If they open it, roll on random table and consult for immediate effects. If there are none, the player can make a Science Roll (INT DC Mod-14) to determine what it is. If they fail, re-roll and tell them they think it is that (or tell them something craftier or more deadly, your choice.) If they make it, tell them what it is. So what could be in those many metal and plastic cans left by the ancients? What strange can contents made it Terra from odd reality lines? [SUBMIT YOUR IDEAS BELOW TO ADD TO THE LIST] Here are some to get started. I'll stop at 100 and do something grand with it. 01-Collapsible Android. [IMMEDIATE EFFECT] Upon pulling the tab, a Berserk Android materializes in an adjacent space and begins to pummel the nearest figure. 02-Cobra Cola. Delicious, but highly poisonous soft drink that actually heals any saurian or reptilian biology creatures. Saurian or Reptilian = 1/2 HP regained. Any other = FORT save or take 2d6 HP damage until next extended rest. 03-Uncured Plasteleen. Contents can be poured out and modeled into any shape and will air-cure into a nearly indestructible shape after 1 minute. If ingested, player must make a REFLEX save to chuck it up or die. 04-MOBIUS (tm) Can Product. 1. Open. Inside the can. Nothing (or roll again for contents.) 2. after 30 10 seconds, the lid re-appears in the top of the can. All contents are kept in perfect stasis until can is re-opened. [Repeat steps 1 and 2 at your leisure for eternity] 05-[INSERT YOUR IDEA HERE] |

Apply attacks vs FORT or ATHLETICs checks as needed. 06-Unidentifiable food-like product. Taste like chicken, maybe. May or may not cause hallucinations, weird feelings in your stomach, the ability to hear colors, an automatic fail at the next overcharge, the ability the see the future, strong and unmanageable bowel movements, the inability to know the meaning of irony, soft and silky fur, or a new Alpha mutation chosen by the GM. |

This universe had an element of chance where the balls might explode when hit, and thus people that enjoyed the sport not only followed RBI, but the BEH (Balls Exploded when Hit) of a player. Theres a ball in the bottom of the can that a PC can throw. Ball's Attack: +5 vs. Ref, Blast 1 from the square its thrown to, 1d4 damage and stun (Save ends) 07-Yexil Bait. Opening the can you see a nice scarf in some clear goop. It smells like a clothing sweat shop and isn't pleasant to those with noses or odor sensors. Within an hour from opening the can a Yexil will come and fight the group/player for delicious scarf inside the can. When this Yexil encounter occurs is at the DM's discretion. 08-Fire-in-a-Can. [Immeadiate Effect] The can came from a parrallel universe where the atmosphere of Earth had no Oxygen in it. Inside, a chemical that is highly reactive with Oxygen is housed. When opened, the can's contents ignites and reaches over a few-thousand degrees almost instantly. Can be poured out to weld metal together. A DC 18 Science check (in place of the perception check) will enable the PC to read the remnants of the label and know what will happen when the can is opened. |

Theres a ball in the bottom of the can that a PC can throw. Sweet! These are awesome. I'm steering this list towards more beneficial than detrimental effects and you get it for sure. I think the 100 exotic cans list will be on a subset list for the sake a rarity. I've been toying with using cans as currency, so most all cans will contain Food or RegeneradeTM Healing Drink.
