Is what's homebrewing a berometer of what might sell?

I was just thinking about it, and our little community here has produced a /lot/ of homebrew origins, a couple of attempts at making GW less silly, several takes on Pure-Strain Humans, some adventures, a few monsters...  but vanishingly few homebrew Alpha & Omega cards.

If WotC extends the run of GW at all, I wonder if Origins, adventures, and monsters might be more the way to go than a new cardset?

I can't fault your logic.
Screens and especially character sheets might also fly based on what has been posted.

Right now, there's still enough cards that most of us aren't bored of the ones we have yet. However, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there coming up with custom card ideas, and we'll probably see a lot of ideas posted around once people have come up with a sufficient number that they feel they should post them.

I'm honestly kind of disappointed that Legion of Gold only will have 8 origins (especially since the 3 mentioned have equivalents in the Community Thread!), so I agree with you. I wouldnt mind seeing new cards, but Origins and monsters are on the top of my list.

I thought Oraibi made some custom omega tech cards.  In fact I'm sure of it, becase I just checked them out.  So, people are interested in new cards and producing there own custom cards.  I like the cards and will continue collecting them, as my budget allows.  I am also hoping they produce more in just  over a year.  Anyway I give props to the community here for all the work developing ideas they would want in thier GW experience.  I also give a big shout out to Oraibi, that guy has contributed all sort of cool stuff for the rest of the community.

I think Oraibi's homebrew Omega cards are a themed set he thought would be fun, moreso than a cry for more official cards.

Besides, I haven't finished collecting the first set yet! Money mouth

Wai-wai-wait a second here.  I thought the 8 WoTC threw up on-line were just the 8 they wanted to reveal now.... I assumed that there would be 20 origins as usual.  Did it actually say they will only be coming out with only 8? That would be LAME.

I really hope you're right, but both the December/January 'And Beyond' articles say 8 new origins as part of the features list. On the bright side, we ARE getting a limited Feat section AND more importantly. . . MOUNTED COMBAT. So I will still be buying this.

Yeah I just read where it says "8 new character origins" ... WEAK.  Why not 20?  Origins are awesome!

Anyway, yeah I'll still be buying this one because I like Gamma World... but this is very disappointing.

Origins are awesome!

Thats what this link is for.  I can personally vouch for a large number in actual play.
