Does anyone have the D&D Monster Vault boxed set?  Based on the description & a review, it potentially looks useful for additional creatures for Gamma World.  Does anyone who owns it recommend it as another supplement for GW?

I have it, and I recommend it for GW. I wrote up a listing elsewhere of the types of creatures which adapt best to Gamma World; in my opinion, nearly all of the monsters can be used with just minor reflavoring.

Agreed. Monster Vault is a great resource for monsters. I'm actually going to use them as-is without reflavoring since every reality in existence existed in one place for a brief moment. Why couldn't one of the realities be D&D's reality?

Good points.  I picked the MV up and think it's great all around.  Wish they'd do a similar treatment for GW.  Isn't Legion of Gold actually supposed to sort of be an MV?

I think LoG is better than bad, it's good. err...wait. It'll probably be more of the same in respects to Far-Go. Rules light, more monsters, an adventure, tokens and maps.

What we know about Legion so far, mainly from the recent December and Beyond post:
* 8 Origins (Demon, Vampiric, Octopoid, 5 others).
* Character Vocations (Soldier of Fortune, Mad Scientist, Bounty Hunter, etc).
* Monsters.
* Setting: The Moon (partially terraformed with forests of wierd plants).
* Adventure for levels 6th - 10th.
* 160 page, 4 token sheets, map.

* The 2011 Spring Catalog mentions it having 10 cards featuring cryptic alliances, and 15 cards featuring new alphas, alliances, and omegas.  This is somewhat contradictory and confusing.

So its definitely not a dedicated Monster Vault book.  The Vocations will probably take up the same amount of space as Alliances did, so that could mean 12 more pages of monsters (in the opened up Origin space), but it might just be some extra padding to the settings section.
