Does anyone know if there are plans to include rules for going beyond level 10? Some were speculating that it might be in one of the upcoming expansion sets but has there been something official about that or is it just speculation?

If there aren't rules in the pipeline has anyone built their own rules (I'm thinking of something like a Super Mutant Paragon Path and Mutant Hulk Epic destiny)?

Thanks.

There was some previous discussion (and scratched out rule concepts) on this topic in the thread:
community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/758...

But certainly nothing official.  The adventure in the second supplement is supposed to cover up to 10th level characters so anything would have to be after that, and there have been no clues that they even plan on having products after that (other then a 2nd novel).

Premier stores (those who sign up for Wizard's premier program) get stuff 11 days before release.

Yeah, I just got my copy today. Some fun stuff from what I perused and based on the unboxing video.

I just ran down to my shop and picked it up.

I have to say that I'm a little disappointed. I expected a little more for my hard-earned thirty domars.

I thought it was okay value for the quick glance through I've had so far...  20 new origins, writeups for major cryptics, another table of wasteland junk a bunch of old and new monsters (including stats for the classic mounts), skill challenge rules,  solid sized adventure with decent starting city, and the usual critter pogs and maps.  Not jaw-dropping good but within my expectation range definitely.

Okay, the Cryptic Alliance cards are a bit *off* in implementation, particularly them neglecting the notion players might actually do something crazy like go seek out an appropriate alliance to join in play rather then just having their android+AI character randomly turn out to be a tech-hating luddite.  But that's pretty much a halmark of the wanna-be "Kobolds Ate My Baby" philosophy this edition has, so no big stress there.

I expected at least one level 9 monster.

Which goes to show that they probably don't think we can focus long enough to play up to that level. We might just make level 10s and fight the solo from the 1st book and call it a day.

Can you give us a quick review, since I doubt I'll make it to my "local" (45-min away) premeire game store this weekend? What's in there, and what didn't you like?

I'll end my hi-jack of this thread and put my notes in the recently started "Far-go Thoughts...." thread.

Thanks. I just found the other thread, also. A good deal of information there for me to process, and I appreciate the info.
