| #1guest1395879387Jan 20, 2011 17:48:40 | So, I am looking for some minion stat blocks for the following; > Zombies > Gallus Gallus > Badder > Hoop > Porker > Sleesh Has anyone done them up yet? |
| #2OraibiJan 20, 2011 18:14:13 | There are minion stats for in Famine in Far-Go for porkers (page 123), zombies (page 86), and Gallus Gallus (page 63). The Mutant Building Made Easy article tells how to make up stats for the rest, including minions. |
| #3guest1395879387Jan 20, 2011 19:21:30 | Are there any level 1 minions of the above type? |
| #4OraibiJan 20, 2011 19:42:28 | Level 1 minions are pretty trivial to make. AC 14, Fort 12, Reflex 12, Will 12, 1 hit point, +6 attack vs AC doing 4 points of damage. |

Actually this was something I was curious about as well as my gaming group has been rotating who is GM. As the core rulebook came with so few monsters the obvious solution seemed to be to create new ones, and the best tool for that was D&D 4E source material. However, on closer inspection, while the stats above match what I would expect for a Level 1 D&D minion, this doesn't seem to be the case for Gamma World minions. Take the Shieldbot (Level 1 Brute Minion), its at-will is +4 vs Reflex and it deals out 9 Electric damage. It struck us all that Gamma World minions were far more lethal than standard D&D minions. Or at least that's our take on it. |
| #6guest1395879387Jan 20, 2011 22:33:16 | Just so I am not confused, when an attack says +6 vs. AC (or something) that is a straight +6 +1d20 + attribute mods + etc.? |
| #7ExcalibursZoneJan 21, 2011 0:06:57 | Look at the power itself. It will have an "Attack" line. That line lists everything you need to add to the d20 roll. For instance, +6 vs AC is just that: 1d20 + 6. Nothing more. Constitution + 6 + Level: 1d20 + Constitution Modifier + 6 + Level. Monster powers will always have the Attack line available for any attack so all you have to do is look at the +x vs y and know that you roll a d20, add x and compare it against defense y. |
| #8OraibiJan 21, 2011 2:26:15 | Oops, my minion should have 15 AC, 13 for other defenses. The shieldbot minion is kind of broken. It really should be doing, like, 6 damage or something. The attack bonus is correct, though -- +4 vs Reflex is equivalent to +6 vs AC. |
