| #1Seeker95Feb 04, 2011 10:15:45 | So we kicked off the campaign last night. Four of the five expected players came (a sixth is out for the first two weeks recovering from surgery). They rolled up characters comletely randomly, and here is what they came up with:
- Fungoid Cockroach named Mary Jane. She is one trip shy of a flashback. TWhen not spitting her acid bite, she whallops with a parking meter. The player has never played a rollplaying game in her life, but she seemed to catch on and enjoy it.
- Hypercognitive Radioactive named Bo Ramsdale. He went toe-to-toe with a blood bird swarm and came out ahead. His melee weapon is the chrome-skull gear shift from a 1964 Old 4-4-2, the body armor from a the grill of a Volvo truck, and a Mini Cooper driver-side door for a shield. The player has never played a rollplaying game in his life, but he seemed to enjoy it. The catching on will come soon enough.
- Reanimated Plant named Faustino. He used to be a genius, but brain damage has left him a vegetable. The player has embraced Gamma World full on. He rolled three alpha flux triggers, each one *after* having used his previous one. He has been an avid gamer for over a decade.
- Entropic Doppelganger named Mordecai. Right now he prefers to throw sharpened frisbee golf disks from a safe distance. The player has not played RPGs since 2e AD&D, and is amazed at the differences.
A very eclectic combination, and definitely not what they would have picked if things were manual in nature. We'll see how it goes.

I see what you did there.
