| #1guest124179714Oct 17, 2010 19:24:11 | Does anyone know if there's been an attempt to make printable Origin Power Cards? By this I mean something similar to what WoTC sells for D&D Classes. I know all the info in the book gives you all the powers, but as far as making new characters quick it just seems very time consuming as opposed to being able to just hand out cards with the powers already on them. |
| #2guest1412820596Oct 17, 2010 19:34:39 | Tallyrand has a great character sheet and collection of the Origin power cards. www.enworld.org/forum/general-rpg-discus... |
| #3Tony_VargasOct 18, 2010 1:04:07 | The Game Day materials include brief origin summaries that include Novice Power and can be printed out and used something like cards. See Alphatream1's blog for links. |
| #4ah_anarchyOct 18, 2010 11:28:55 | Here's a sample of the set I'm working on:![]() All the cards are finished, and they are being proofread. The only question is what to do about Killing Bite since it seems like it will need some errata. |
| #5FlashbackJonOct 18, 2010 11:32:33 | Wow. Those are gorgeous. |
| #6AlphastreamOct 18, 2010 11:56:21 | Those really look awesome! Did you make them in Photoshop? I usually use Magic Set Editor for any power card stuff. |
| #7captainbasilicusOct 18, 2010 12:08:15 | Beautiful cards! I'd love to get my hands on a set (well, a pdf I can print myself.)![]() Thank goodness we are part of a hobby that is populated by creativity. |
| #8ah_anarchyOct 18, 2010 12:39:12 | Wow. Those are gorgeous. Thanks! Those really look awesome! Did you make them in Photoshop? I usually use Magic Set Editor for any power card stuff. Thank you! They were made in Illustrator, and they'll be posted as PDFs. Beautiful cards! I'd love to get my hands on a set (well, a pdf I can print myself.) I'll post links when they are available. I thought I was done last night, took a look at them this morning and found 5 errors... *sigh* There are a few people looking at the files, and if they don't catch anything else, the files will hopefully get posted this week. We're running a game at work this Wednesday, so I kind of hope they are finished by then! ^_^ |
| #9crazykoboldOct 19, 2010 7:59:32 | Tallyrand's character sheet is very nice, but there are errors on many cards. Anarchy's cards look nice, and it's good to see proofing before posting. |
| #10ah_anarchyOct 19, 2010 11:08:45 | ![]() Updated with suggested changes. I like both versions, but have a personal preference for the first version... |
| #11ChandrakOct 19, 2010 11:15:55 | Wow, Anarchy, very nice looking. |
| #12ExcalibursZoneOct 19, 2010 13:06:44 | Those are looking rather sweet ![]() I'm looking forward to the PDF! |
| #13battles14Oct 19, 2010 14:11:35 | Me too... In the alternative, I'm working on some half-sheets that can simply be handed out to players when they roll a particular origin. They have all three powers as well as all the traits. Here's a preview of the first page: www.mediafire.com/?h6q8783fe1tc97h |
| #14Tony_VargasOct 19, 2010 14:44:49 | I quite liked the first version, too. BTW, the little radiation hazzard symbol seems to be unique to the DM Alpha & Omega decks in the boxed set - I doubt it'd actually confuse anyone, just thought I'd mention it. |
| #15ah_anarchyOct 19, 2010 15:15:01 | I quite liked the first version, too. BTW, the little radiation hazzard symbol seems to be unique to the DM Alpha & Omega decks in the boxed set - I doubt it'd actually confuse anyone, just thought I'd mention it. The set icon is intentional. It anchors that side of the card and without it the top of the card looked off-balance. Since I think they are adding new origins in the other expansions, it will also be useful to mark which set each origin card belongs to for reference purposes. When I do the other origins, they get a different icon. It's also good planning ahead for the custom origins, too. |
| #16Tony_VargasOct 19, 2010 15:30:03 | You were way ahead of me. |
| #17ah_anarchyOct 19, 2010 15:42:30 | I printed a set of the first example (novice = green, utility = blue, expert = purple). I really like it. So, novice at-will and encounters are green. Encounter powers have an atomic bomb icon under the set icon. If there is a public outcry, or ninjas break into my house in the middle of the night and force me to at sword point, I can make an alternate set with the at-wills in green and the encounter powers in purple. |
| #18toldarrOct 19, 2010 20:06:03 | <--likes the first set too!! |
| #19ah_anarchyOct 19, 2010 22:31:34 | Well, the Ninjas worked... The Mutant Color version has novice powers colored green, utilities blue and experts purple. Encounter powers are marked with an atomic bomb. If you would like to download this version, www.zeroradiusgames.com/BGG_files/gw_pow... The Alternative version has green at-wills and purple encounters. There is no blue. If you would like to download this version, www.zeroradiusgames.com/BGG_files/gw_pow... |
| #20battles14Oct 19, 2010 23:03:49 | Apparently the link I posted above was having some problems. Here's a preview of the half-sheets I'm making for the WWGD I'm running this weekend. www.mediafire.com/?h6q8783fe1tc97h |
| #21CoreyVOct 19, 2010 23:09:04 | Wow AH Anarchy, wow. ![]() |
| #22ExcalibursZoneOct 19, 2010 23:19:23 | Well, the Ninjas worked... |
| #23ah_anarchyOct 19, 2010 23:37:35 | Apparently the link I posted above was having some problems. Nice, Battles. Very useful. Much easier for character creation instead of passing the book around the table. Wow AH Anarchy, wow. Thanks! I really like these cards, though there is going to be one heck of a lot of cutting going on...Any chance you could repost these with the cards pushed together without a gutter between them? 3 cuts is better than 6. Hmmm.... Wasn't planning on either of those. The spacing is necessary for the process I use to make the final cards. The test print took 5 minutes/page to trim fairly neatly. I could do a card back. I'm sleeving the cards, so the back isn't visible and I hadn't really thought about it. Did you want a single image or a 3x3 matching the layout of the cards? It wouldn't be the official GW card back. That would make a nice back. If you're just using them for yourself, you could scan that, I suppose. |
| #24ExcalibursZoneOct 19, 2010 23:58:19 | Ah, I use a metal ruler and a rotary cutter to do my cutting. I wish I had a card cutting rig, but not enough money in the budget for such luxuries ;) A card back would be fine, I can use the official card back, that wouldn't be a problem. If you were to make a card back, I'd suggest a 3up like what you have currently, that way you could print the card up pretty nicely and cut without gluing. |
| #25dacdaxsterOct 20, 2010 9:18:27 | Hey everyone. I'm new and getting Gamma World in the mail today, but I going to be stopping at Kinko's today and wanted to print a copy of AH_Anarchy awesome cards! My question is will 1 set of these cards be enough? I'm not sure how character creation is done, but if you can have players that have the same powers then I want to print out a few copies of those cards to ensure all my players can have them. TLDR; How many copies of AH_Anarchy's cards should I print? |
| #26OraibiOct 20, 2010 9:32:23 | At least two sets, possibly three. Everyone rolls 1d20 and it's likely that you'll get one or more duplicated origins. (Although to be honest, I would stop at two of each origin in my games and let people reroll until they get something that's more unique if they'd be the third for a certain origin.) |
| #27ah_anarchyOct 20, 2010 11:36:17 | At least two sets, possibly three. That's what I'm doing, too. I futzed around with the backs for a bit. Let me know which one you like, and I'll make a PDF. I'll make the border a little thicker to help with any printer registration problems. You'll want to cut the card front. |
| #28Tony_VargasOct 20, 2010 12:05:51 | Rolling has a non-trivial chance of producing a party with two or three of the same origin. An alternative could be to take all (21 of) those Novice Power cards you just printed out, and let the players draw from them to determine their origins. No duplications. |
| #29battles14Oct 20, 2010 12:08:13 | Anarchy, I vote for B and H. H is the cleanest, and B is just the coolest. |
| #30initiatezaoOct 20, 2010 13:03:15 | Well done AH_Anarchy. Thank you for all your work. I look forward to the card backs. Peace tomas |
| #31dacdaxsterOct 20, 2010 14:49:35 | My vote is for F, but maybe with green font color instead of purple ![]() |
| #32mvincentOct 20, 2010 15:33:49 | Love the Power Cards! Curious though: has anyone seen Cards for just the origins themselves (i.e. the traits rather than the powers)? They would be handy for character generation (and could be used instead of rolling). I'm currently using cut-cardstock copies of the Game Day origin summaries, but they are not uniform in size. |
| #33ChandrakOct 20, 2010 15:37:10 | I'm really liking these - great work all around. I think my vote for favorite is D and F - both of those seem to stand out to me, though I like B quite a bit as well ![]() On a side note - If you have the time, Anarchy, would you be willing to consider doing up a set of cards for the Custom Origins compilation thread? We're rapidly approaching a full set of 20 Origins, and I'm strongly considering organizing the posts into a downloadable file. It might make sense to compile into a sort of 'Homebrew Expansion', sort of like whats going on with the Gama World Atlas thread. It would be fantastic to be able to include a card pdf for people who want to use power cards for thier players. |
| #34ExcalibursZoneOct 20, 2010 15:47:51 | I like H for it's cleanliness as well. Great job! ![]() |
| #35Tony_VargasOct 20, 2010 16:15:39 | I like G. Mostly it's the 'damaged' look of the text, which is much clearer in G than B. Anyway, definitely like a little radioactive green in there somewhere... ;) |
| #36ah_anarchyOct 20, 2010 16:16:48 | On a side note - If you have the time, Anarchy, would you be willing to consider doing up a set of cards for the Custom Origins compilation thread? | #37AlphastreamOct 20, 2010 16:29:06 | Rolling has a non-trivial chance of producing a party with two or three of the same origin. An alternative could be to take all (21 of) those Novice Power cards you just printed out, and let the players draw from them to determine their origins. No duplications. When I have run I just use origin cards and have them draw so they don't get duplicates. The game seems more interesting that way, since everyone is different. So, for me, one set is enough. There are great cards. I agree with MVincent that it would be cool to have a reference card with the traits. These could be used for the above purpose. |
| #38grimmstonethingOct 20, 2010 18:11:01 | I vote for G love the extra detail on the title. |

Wow, these right here are top notch! Very nice job, indeed. ![]() |
| #43crazykoboldOct 21, 2010 10:08:04 | AH_Anarchy, I printed out a set of yopur nice looking cards and realized a significant problem with them. I have a Cannon MP600 series printer (not cheap) but the white letters do not show well on such a busy background. You might want to lightened the background and/or change the print to black letters instead of white. The card back looks nice, but I put my cards in a card sleeve protector. That way they can tap their origin encounter powers, like their alpha and omega cads. This allows the DM a quick and easy way to check the power left available to the group in case you want to do a running fight and really test their abilities. |
| #44ah_anarchyOct 21, 2010 11:33:27 | CrazyKobold, I wouldn't suggest printing these on an inkjet. Printers are very inconsistent, especially when it comes to color. You are just not going to be able to match the vibrancy and color of a color laser with an inkjet. I took the pdf to Staples and it was well worth the $5 to print there. The text is very readable on the color laser output. |
| #45crazykoboldOct 21, 2010 11:35:44 | What weight paper did you use, and did they cut it or did you have to? |
| #46wolfe_deckardOct 21, 2010 11:38:30 | Hey Battles, Did you ever finish your cards? |
| #47ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 11:53:13 | In this same vein, AH_Anarchy, do you think having a card for the origin itself, not just the powers would be cool as well? I'm tempted to deconstruct your cards and generate the actual origins as well (perhaps using the blue background one)...That would set this set as the de facto origin card set for me... |
| #48battles14Oct 21, 2010 11:55:01 | Hey Battles, I'm proofreading my half-sheets today, and hopefully I'll be able to post them later on tonight. ::crosses fingers:: |
| #49ChandrakOct 21, 2010 12:20:42 | I wouldn't suggest printing these on an inkjet. I'd echo this - I've got a really high-end inkjet, and a test print came out pretty passably. Another test on a lower-end one came out looking like dirt. So I will be doing the same as Anarchy - I think $5-$10 for a set of these at a professional printers will be well worth the money. Might even spring for the cardstock if its not too expensive, we'll see. |
| #50ah_anarchyOct 21, 2010 12:31:44 | What weight paper did you use, and did they cut it or did you have to? Mmm. I didn't ask for any special paper, so I think they used 22-30lb. I cut the cards out and shoved them in front of some spare CCG commons in sleeves. No back. In this same vein, AH_Anarchy, do you think having a card for the origin itself, not just the powers would be cool as well? I'm tempted to deconstruct your cards and generate the actual origins as well (perhaps using the blue background one)...That would set this set as the de facto origin card set for me... I saw some half-sheet origins, I think from Battles, and I was planning on using those. If you'd like, send me a PM with your email and I'll forward you some blank templates that you can use. |

| #53ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 12:48:09 | Here's a sample of the set I'm working on: Just read through the thread and you'll find the links. It's about page 4 I think? It's page 2: community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/758... |
| #54ah_anarchyOct 21, 2010 12:50:47 | The PDFs are linked in post #19 (thanks ExcalibursZone for the link!) You can take them to an office supply store or Kinko's to get them printed on a color laser, then you cut them out and sleeve them. Or you can edit them in Photoshop or GIMP and make them individual images. Then upload to a place like Artscow and have them make you a custom deck of playing cards. You'll want a card back, like one that was posted earlier. |
| #55socksieboy01Oct 21, 2010 12:53:39 | Here's a sample of the set I'm working on: Awesome thanks. Don't always have timeto read thru all posts with the liil one tugging at my pant leg LOL. These are great now to buy some card stock....off to Staples! |
| #56ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 12:55:07 | I am lucky enough to have a color laser at home so I'll be printing these puppies out on cardstock with a back. And if AH_Anarchy is OK with it, I would like to let the Game Day players keep their origin cards as a gift. |
| #57ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 12:56:17 | Here's a sample of the set I'm working on: Keep in mind that printing these on an Inkjet printer is not the best solution since the text may blur. |

| #61ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 15:40:31 | *rubs hands together* I would say: We don't. That way WotC won't get upset with us. Afterall, if we went and designed better cards and then started sharing them, why would people buy the boosters from WotC? I'd rather see new material come out instead of losing the line because they can't support it. |
| #62greyseerOct 21, 2010 16:36:11 | Kinkos did 3 copies on 90lb cardstock (which is a bit lighter than index card 110lb cardstock) in color for about $26 (so a bit over $8.50 a set) via the web and I just went in and picked them up. Staples sounds like it was alot cheaper. Did you just go in and hand them a memory stick and said I need X copies of this on paper? |
| #63raleelOct 21, 2010 16:51:40 | Anyone tried putting this stuff into godeckyourself.com? while not nearly as nice as the ones I'm seeing up here (not by a longshot) it's pretty easy. |

Gave them a flash drive and had them print it on whatever was in the tray (22-30lb). Was about $4 per set. I had some City of Heroes CCG cards, with a nice black border. Cut the GW cards, used a CCG card for stiffness and placed in a sleeve. About 1 hour work to get the set ready to play. |

I know its asinine to ask you to do more work after creating those, but would you think about creating something a little simpler in Black & White that we can print out from our home printers? Your cards are formatted great and really fit Gamma World, but I'd love to just run off page from my inkjet whenever the need arises. |
| #68ah_anarchyOct 23, 2010 1:28:21 | AH_Anarchy, great cards! I know its asinine to ask you to do more work after creating those, but would you think about creating something a little simpler in Black & White that we can print out from our home printers? Thanks! Black and White? Ehhh. I did a quick test and removed all the background textures, changed the text color to black. They're pretty plain, but should print without trouble on home printers. | #81alberandNov 01, 2010 12:53:53 | Picked up my GW box set over the weekend and am hoping to have my first chance to run it tonight, but I was immediately dissatisfied with the provided character sheets. They are far too small, do not have nearly enough space for skills and gear, and the colors, well, eww! I really have to wonder if anyone at WotC actually tried playing a game with those things before they were approved and printed? That being said, thank all of you for your efforts to provide a better solution! AH_Anarchy's cards look freaking sweet, but it sounds like they don't do very well on inkjets, and I won't have time to get to a professional printer before game time. That being the case, I decided to try a combination of Oraibi's simple and elegant character sheets with Battles' origin half-sheets. It seems like those should cover everything the players need to know and track very well. You guys are awesome, and I am looking foward to my first GW game much more now that I have some decent tools to make character management easier. ![]() |
| #82pacificdndNov 02, 2010 2:49:18 | Anarchy: Great work! Those cards will speed up the process so much when creating characters instead of passing around the singular book to have people write things down... plus they look amazing and are in a farmiliar format. Battles: The link you posted has been down all day. Donno if its a permanent thing with Mediafire, but just wanted to give you a heads up. Thanksto all the work that you guys have put in to make the game that much better for the rest of us! |
| #83hoofrogNov 02, 2010 9:48:39 | These sheets are absolutely invaluable. Thanks a lot Anarchy and Battles I get the same issue as PacificDnD, not able to download as of yet. I finally got around to rolling character with the kids and my nephew. We have a Android Pyrokinetic, Empath Felinoid and an Empath Seismic. I ended up Hypercognitive Human. |
| #84JohnLynchNov 09, 2010 19:01:33 | My Gamma World Origins Half-Sheets are finished and can be downloaded via the following link: Is this the extent of the fluff for each origin? I was looking to create handouts for players (assuming my playtest of this on Saturday goes well) to give my players that has all the fluff they need (I was considering using Anarchy's cards so repeating the novice, utility and expert info wouldn't be necessary. Although if that's all the fluff available on each origin I may just hand those out to my players and e-mail them Anarchy's awesome cards). Ideally my players will spend $0 on Gamma World (I'll be running DM decks only as a house-rule. Given some of the players I'll be playing with, building their own deck would only cause them to spend a lot of time pouring over all the options and trying to build the optimal and perfect deck. From what I've seen that would defeat the whole purpose of Gamma World. Character creation should take 10-15 mins MAX and if people are spending hours trying to build perfect decks, then that's a lot longer then the 10-15 mins). So if I can get all the rules into the players hands easily then that will make me very happy. I've been going through the excerpts and previews to jot down as many of the rules as I can find. My "Player's Guide to Gamma World" is currently 5 pages long. 1 cover page, 2 pages for setting fluff (with one of those pages being a "Map of the Known World") and then 2 pages of mechanics I've discovered so far. |
| #85battles14Nov 09, 2010 20:59:03 | Is this the extent of the fluff for each origin? No. Most origins also have an "Appearance" entry that gives some hints as to what your character would look like. In the end, I had to leave them off to save space. |

Good call: In a system where a Seismic/Yeti could very well end up being declared as "Bobo the Dancing Bear" any sort of set appearance entry is really kind of silly. ![]() |
| #87OraibiNov 09, 2010 22:47:56 | ... I played a Yeti / Gravity Controller named Bobo the Circus Bear. He juggled (ranged weapons), rolled around on a ball, wore a fez, and carried the door of his cage to hit people with. He was an homage to Shelly Mazzanoble's Oso de la Fez. |
| #88ChandrakNov 10, 2010 0:49:58 | Is this the extent of the fluff for each origin? I was looking to create handouts for players (assuming my playtest of this on Saturday goes well) to give my players that has all the fluff they need (I was considering using Anarchy's cards so repeating the novice, utility and expert info wouldn't be necessary. Although if that's all the fluff available on each origin I may just hand those out to my players and e-mail them Anarchy's awesome cards). If what you are asking is information on what each origin is about, looks like, or functions, then the answer is more or less "Yes, that is all." There IS an appearance entry, but all that really is is a general suggestion on what you probably look like. Gamma World is extremely fluff-light, and actively encourages players to make up things in terms of how their characters look and function. As an example, to paraphrase a number of sidebars, origins like Rat Swarm could be interpreted in the following ways: 1. A swarm of tiny humanoid mutated rats, each armed with thier own armor/weapons. 2. A writhing mass of rodents crammed into a humanoid shape. 3. As #1, but could be say, cats, or birds, or anything else related to your other origin. 4. As #2, but again related to your other origin. Thus, an Android Rat Swarm could be: 1. A swarm of robotic rats armed with micro lasers. 2. A mass of robot rats that transform Voltron-style into a single humanoid. 3. Replicators from Stargate, or something similar as a nanite. 4. A single giant robot rat that can fragment into smaller pieces. Really, theres no need to include fluff for your players - let them make it up! |

Thanks I've been talking to one of my players about the possibility of some Gamma World adventures (I want to play it myself first to see whether or not I like it, but based on what I've read I think its just the ticket for me). One of the things he mentioned was he didn't even know what some of the origins looked like. So I came looking for some more fluff for him, but I wanted to see if there was anything more then what the PDF had. Thanks a lot to everyone for their hardwork here. Its certainly made my job easier ;) |
| #90wiltchamberlainNov 11, 2010 2:52:52 | Has anybody thought to do critical hit cards? I think this is a good idea. It would be great if someone made them. I lack the skills or I'd do it myself. |
| #91privateer2hireDec 17, 2010 19:05:39 | Any chance of Famine in Far-go getting the B&W Origin Cards treatment? |
| #92ah_anarchyDec 20, 2010 15:16:06 | Any chance of Famine in Far-go getting the B&W Origin Cards treatment? Probably, but I haven't picked up Famine yet, and won't until after Christmas (and it might be a little longer than that, we sorta blew through our gaming budget a couple times over this month). |
| #93OraibiDec 20, 2010 20:33:22 | Anarchy, if I had the money and I knew where you lived, I'd buy the expansion for you. :D (Sadly, the first is more limiting than the second, broke right now.) |
| #94ah_anarchyDec 20, 2010 22:58:29 | Thanks for the kind thoughts, Oraibi... ^_^ Happy Holidays! |
| #95OraibiDec 21, 2010 22:55:23 | Another set of power cards here: www.myrpgame.com/2010/12/20/x-mas-comes-... |
| #96damarDec 26, 2010 19:28:52 | Wow, Oraibi those are ludicrous. Looks like something my brother would do. |
| #97robotrockDec 27, 2010 14:17:13 | Yeah, those cards are pretty amazingly done... |
| #98OraibiDec 27, 2010 14:32:40 | Wow, Oraibi those are ludicrous. Looks like something my brother would do. They're not mine of course, I am just linking to them now that I found them. :D |

Please tell me that you got Famine in Far-Go for Christmas. I just played with the new character origins on Wednesday night and Ryder my Wheeled Electrokinetic motorcycle centaur who seems to think he's in an action movie is the greatest character I have ever played. I don't want to face the future in a world where your awesome character origin cards don't cover the new ones that come out. You know what you've done, don't you? You're created gamers dependent on your next creation. PS: |
| #100rebis_ouroborosDec 31, 2010 11:29:14 | PS: Is there any way to get links up on the Zero Radius Games page to your origin cards? I've only found them because of links someone has sent to me. Also, could you post the link to the back side of the cards? You have done an awesome job. Thank you. |
| #101rebis_ouroborosDec 31, 2010 15:26:07 | PPS: Is there a way for you to make fillable cards as pdf's? I just ordered the Gamma World boxed set and Famine in Far-Go from Amazon (today was my final day to use my Amazon employee discount), so I'd be willing to type in the new powers in order to get them made... |
| #102ah_anarchyJan 01, 2011 2:42:58 | Thanks for the kind comments. I traded for Famine in Far-Go and will be working on the new origin cards very soon. The backs are here: www.zeroradiusgames.com/BGG_files/gw_pow... This is a good thread with links to most everything: rpggeek.com/thread/575196/power-cards One link missing from that thread is a blank template file: www.zeroradiusgames.com/BGG_files/gw_bla... |
| #103ExcalibursZoneJan 01, 2011 10:23:57 | Just create a PDF with form elements... though that would be limiting in text, you'd have your fillable cards... |
| #104rebis_ouroborosJan 05, 2011 13:53:54 | Thanks for the kind comments. I traded for Famine in Far-Go and will be working on the new origin cards very soon. That's fantastic. Really, your cards are the best thing I've seen for Gamma World yet. They are so incredibly helpful during the game. I'm surprised WotC hasn't offered you a job yet. - Rebis |
| #105mightyerocJan 06, 2011 18:18:09 | AH_Anarchy, love your cards. Looking forward to the Famine ones. I printed out 2 sets and placed them in black card sleeves, then I hand out whatever cards go with each players origins. They lay them out with their Alpha's (which I have in Green card sleeves). Omega Tech are in Purple sleeves. |
| #106halJan 16, 2011 15:20:58 | AH Anarchy, I love your cards and would love to get a set of Famine in Fargo ones! Awesome. |
| #107BeezlebubbaJan 17, 2011 19:04:58 | I agree, Anarchy. I'm excited to see your FiFG origin cards. What a great help during a game. |

| #111ah_anarchyJan 18, 2011 18:22:18 | @AH_Anarchy According to the book it is a minor action. |
| #112percolateJan 19, 2011 10:03:28 | @AH_Anarchy Great work once again! |

| #117xjd127xJan 20, 2011 16:42:43 | First of thanks, second, the famine far go ones, they have the same description text for the gelatinous thing in the simian |
| #118OraibiJan 20, 2011 17:26:33 | First of thanks, second, the famine far go ones, they have the same description text for the gelatinous thing in the simian I think all Gamma World characters should be told, at some point in their lives, something that starts with "You might be an unsightly gooey lump..." |
| #119ah_anarchyJan 20, 2011 17:40:22 | Ha! Good catch. I'll fix that tonight. |
| #120xjd127xJan 20, 2011 18:24:10 | First of thanks, second, the famine far go ones, they have the same description text for the gelatinous thing in the simian I agree though insulting the simian will not do wonders, unless you rolled a simian and a gelatinous in which case that would be correct |
| #121Tony_VargasJan 21, 2011 3:20:33 | @AH_Anarchy There has been no eratta for GW, as yet. I can only assume that it's a mistake, though, otherwise it's absurd, there's just not reason for it (the Yeti's, at least, being encounter, as well as minor, made a little sense). I have decided to rule that all Novice powers are standard-action, at-wills, period. Just think it works better that way. |
| #122ah_anarchyJan 21, 2011 10:36:07 | Has anyone asked Wizards customer service? I thought they answered questions like this for previous versions of D&D... The cards will get updated if we can get an answer or some errata. |

Either that or they get bored and give you off-the-wall answers to amuse themselves... ...well, or people make up CS responses to post on the forum... |
| #125liquid_wolfJan 28, 2011 17:42:53 | AH_Anarchy... Your work has convinced me to start using Gamma World for my Saturday Night Games with my group. I had been looking into the game to see whether it was worth it, and after playing one game and seeing your work I am truly motivated to continue with it. Thank You. |
| #126kytain_bloodmageJan 29, 2011 17:21:02 | Awesome cards! Are you going to upload the collection? did I miss it, where is the link? Really awesome! |
| #127sudosammichJan 31, 2011 14:37:10 | Well, the Ninjas worked... |
| #128calaanJan 31, 2011 18:37:16 | These cards are awesome! My players are gonna love 'em!!! |
| #129JijiFeb 05, 2011 16:15:32 | I came to Gamma World late compared to the rest of you. I played it for the first time at DDXP during the DM's Challenge. I want to throw my hat in the ring and thank AH-Anarchy for all his hard work and enjoy using the cards he made to introduce the game to my fellow local DnD players. |
| #130JijiFeb 07, 2011 21:44:09 | Umm I am having problems finding the power cards for Famine. Did I miss the link or is Anarchy still working on them? |
| #131jvaught89Feb 08, 2011 9:29:09 | Hey i love the origin and power cards!!! is anyone working on the Legion of Golds new origins and powers? Or maybe even the vocations!? Wishful thinking but i'd love to see monster cards sometime as well! Those would prolly have to be put on oversize cards though! Keep up the great work guys! |
| #132wulvFeb 10, 2011 9:28:11 | Hey Anarchy i was lookin through your cards last night and noticed a little error on Wheeled, in the flavor text you use "you" in a spot it doesnt really belong so it sounds wierd when you read it i'm not at my pc so i cant give you the exact line, but i think it is on the trait card. It isnt a big deal but i figured i would let you know. Thanks a TON for all your hard work. The cards are awesome they help me and my players keep track of when they use one during an encounter so we cant possibly use it twice i have them either twist the card sideways or flip it over. |
| #133justchristineFeb 18, 2011 10:42:51 | Thanks for all the nice comments. Made my day! ^_^ |
| #134voodoodollyMar 04, 2011 9:27:09 | Realy, I have to thank you! this is the best thing going! I run a game at my FLGS, and for chacter creation I cut out all the cards and placed the powers behind the origins in individual plastic sleaves. Then I shuffeld them and had the players draw randomly... It works great, all the players are individuals since there is no chance of two characters having the same origin, and it moves things along fast. I hope you do the legion box on day, but even if you dont, thanks! |
| #135darkcatalystMar 15, 2011 1:55:41 | Hey, these are really great cards! Thanks a lot! What program did you use to create these? Would it be posible to get a copy of your original, editable, files for customization? Both the origin trait cards and the power cards? |
| #136hawkeApr 03, 2011 13:36:12 | Hey i love the origin and power cards!!! is anyone working on the Legion of Golds new origins and powers? Or maybe even the vocations!? Would love these! If you don't own em, I'm sure an amazon wishlist or something might quickly be able to get them to you quickly... |
| #137norsegodJul 15, 2011 17:43:15 | Hey i love the origin and power cards!!! is anyone working on the Legion of Golds new origins and powers? Or maybe even the vocations!? Were the LoG cards ever created? My 12 year old son is running the Gamma World game for myself and his twin 8 year old brothers and they are loving it. The power cards really make things a lot easier for them to see what they have as powers and what they can still do (just flip over the Encounter power card when you use it). I have printed off the original box set and the FiF cards already and was hoping the last box set will get the same awesome treatment. Play aids like these make gaming so much easier and fun for the kids! |
| #138ah_anarchyAug 22, 2011 20:33:11 | Norse, yes, the LoG cards were done. You can download them from here: www.zeroradiusgames.com/BGG_files/gw_leg... www.zeroradiusgames.com/BGG_files/gw_leg... |
| #139briguybenwaAug 31, 2011 9:32:23 | Wow, how did I miss these? They're perfect for my game. Thought you'd like to know that these are still getting used! (I feel like this thread needs to get stickied) |
| #140ShimrathSep 17, 2011 17:34:29 | AH_Anarchy, great cards! I know its asinine to ask you to do more work after creating those, but would you think about creating something a little simpler in Black & White that we can print out from our home printers? Was there ever a link to B&W Legion Origin Cards? |
| #141ShimrathOct 09, 2011 0:29:43 | I'll take that as a "no". |
