| #1CoachmanOct 08, 2010 22:59:14 | Any plans to release a pdf version of the character sheet? |
| #2talladegaOct 08, 2010 23:29:46 | Any plans to release a pdf version of the character sheet? I hope they provide a more expanded one if they do. The ones provided are a bit too stripped down for my tastes. In fact I'm finding I'm having to build an Excel sheet because those provide are just too small and knowing my players they are going to complain. |
| #3icarusfallzOct 10, 2010 4:07:48 | You can access a 4 page sheet I made here: freepdfhosting.com/88cd5cce77.pdf It isn't much, but might suit your needs. just print it back to front, and make a booklet |
| #4dudesockOct 10, 2010 10:13:03 | Here is the best Ive found on ENworld: www.enworld.org/forum/general-rpg-discus... One page, Old school, and all the Origin powers in power cards. Its great. |
| #5icarusfallzOct 10, 2010 14:31:48 | I'd like to know who (if anyone) will be using the sheets I posted. |
| #6talladegaOct 10, 2010 15:12:44 | I'd like to know who (if anyone) will be using the sheets I posted. I like your sheets for the most part, I think the attributes and orgin pages along with the power cards from the list above would work very well for most. Sugggestions: * Move elements around so the layout is more similar to a D&D character sheet * make the GW banner much smaller and move to the top of the page * add coresponding attribute to the skills section e.g. Stealth (Dex) |
| #7Tony_VargasOct 10, 2010 23:05:37 | Icarus, I really like the general color scheme and look of your sheets. |
| #8greyseerOct 11, 2010 12:22:51 | @icarusfallz - I'll be using your sheet, just curious though if there are plans to do a black and white version - color ink isn't cheap. |
| #9tallyrandOct 11, 2010 13:43:58 | Here's the character sheet that I did www.4shared.com/document/o1wh2YYN/Gamma_... Open Office version www.4shared.com/file/YlR_73a5/Gamma_Worl... It's in color, but if you want to edit the Open Office version you can make it black and white quick enough. |
| #10guest1412820596Oct 11, 2010 13:57:29 | @Tallyrand : Best sheets ever! |
| #11craedusOct 11, 2010 14:55:42 | @Tallyrand: me likey ![]() |
| #12icarusfallzOct 11, 2010 16:16:38 | @icarusfallz - I'll be using your sheet, just curious though if there are plans to do a black and white version - color ink isn't cheap. You could print it as grey scale, but this sheet IS just a prototype. I need to add spaces for Exp, etc... |
| #13spellbinder5150Oct 11, 2010 16:40:07 | I prefer the sheets provided by Icarus and will be using them this weekend for our local game....our first session! Wish us luck! |
| #14ramen_hoodOct 12, 2010 1:31:15 | @tallyrand The font is a bit hard to read when its small but I really like the set up . You should do one in purple and green, since those are gamma worlds team colors that'd be way cool. |
| #15OraibiOct 13, 2010 6:07:07 | Here's my tidy, black-and-white two-page character sheet for Gamma World (PDF): boldpueblo.com/downloads/gammaworld/GW-t... |
| #16grizzwaldOct 13, 2010 6:26:15 | Here's my tidy, black-and-white two-page character sheet for Gamma World (PDF): Snoink! We have a winner! This is exactly what i was looking for? How do i go about attempting to make that form fillable? |
| #17OraibiOct 13, 2010 6:33:16 | Good question -- I'll take a look at it and see what I can do, over the next week or so. (For now it fits my needs so I'm gonna leave it as is for my games. :D) I can post the OpenOffice document if that would help. |
| #18OraibiOct 13, 2010 6:45:02 | Oh, here's the one-pager that I put together between the first and second day of RinCon; it's only a character sheet for level one, but it works well enough for that purpose: boldpueblo.com/downloads/gammaworld/GW-l... It's pretty much like the two-pager but cut down, although most of the more recent developments in the design of the two-page sheet haven't made it back into the level 1 sheet. |
| #19pricklyOct 13, 2010 7:48:23 | Here's my tidy, black-and-white two-page character sheet for Gamma World (PDF): This sheet is awesome Many Thanks |
| #20captainbasilicusOct 13, 2010 12:06:06 | Here's my tidy, black-and-white two-page character sheet for Gamma World (PDF): Yep! This is my favorite, too. Nice, simple, all the info you need. |
| #21palmerkunOct 13, 2010 14:57:21 | Here's my tidy, black-and-white two-page character sheet for Gamma World (PDF): This is perfect. Thank you. *goes to print 20 copies on the work printer* @tallyrand: Typo on your sheet. HP is Con+Twelve, your sheet says Fifteen |
| #22wiltchamberlainOct 13, 2010 17:26:51 | The tidy black-and-white two-pager is my fav thusfar. I'm sure there will be more to come. |
| #23spellbinder5150Oct 13, 2010 18:10:05 | I love this new black & white sheet! It is fantastic. Let me know when you fix the Con error on it please and have an updated version available. |
| #24microblessOct 13, 2010 18:26:45 | Hey everyone! I've been talking with "the powers that be" and I'm hoping that we'll have the official PDF up later this week! |

| #28captainbasilicusOct 13, 2010 19:52:03 | Here's my tidy, black-and-white two-page character sheet for Gamma World (PDF): Three extra hit points? I think our heroes need all the help they can get ![]() |

| #30greyseerOct 13, 2010 23:50:07 | All in all great sheets by all submitted, but I have to concur the last set is pretty awesome. I will float all four styles by the players this weekend to see which they think will work best with Game Day. |
| #31microblessOct 14, 2010 15:11:40 | Here is the official character sheet from our site: www.wizards.com/dnd/Tool.aspx?x=dnd/4new... |

| #34CoreyVOct 19, 2010 23:45:25 | Here's one I've made just for fun, hope it works fine. Nice, neat. Colorful! |
| #35ExcalibursZoneOct 20, 2010 1:03:11 | Here's the beginnings of my Encounters-inspired version. I can change out the character image and change the color of the fade to account for any PC. (Now that I look at it, the green is aweful ugly and the fade is a little messed...going to have to redo those) ![]() |
| #36spellbinder5150Oct 20, 2010 2:14:39 | OOOHHH.......can you make one of those for most if not all the origins, pic-wise? That is looking awesome, ExcalibursZone! I'd also suggest you give plenty of room to equipment, powers, etc. and put in the calculations for everything as to how each thing is calculated. Things like AC, Fort, Reflex, Basic Attacks, Initiative, Passive Per, Passive Insight, etc. |
| #37OraibiOct 20, 2010 6:56:41 | Here's yet another character sheet by me. This one I wanted to do specific things: 1. Fit in the dang box. 2. Serve as a mini-folder for storing the character. 3. Be compatible with cards and half-sheets with origin stats on them -- that other people are making up (or maybe me if I get ambitious) without overly duplicating the information. This is a cute little character sheet. It's two-sided and folds in half. You can tuck other sheets inside it, but the combat information you need -- except for the details on how your origins traits and powers work -- is all on the front and back cover. Combine this with a nice origin listing or a set of origin power cards, and you're good to go. Download link: boldpueblo.com/downloads/gammaworld/GW-c... ETA: The easiest way to get the appropriate inserts for the folded character sheet is to just photocopy the origin pages from the book and cut them down the middle and you're ready to go. |
| #38ExcalibursZoneOct 20, 2010 15:46:33 | OOOHHH.......can you make one of those for most if not all the origins, pic-wise? That is looking awesome, ExcalibursZone! I'd also suggest you give plenty of room to equipment, powers, etc. and put in the calculations for everything as to how each thing is calculated. Things like AC, Fort, Reflex, Basic Attacks, Initiative, Passive Per, Passive Insight, etc. I could probably do that, yeah, at least I have to find graphics to fit each of the origins, and would be helpful to have male and female counterparts for each of the origins (if you guys want to help out by pointing me to graphics for this, then that'll make this all the easier). My plan for the character sheet is to provide a front side that will have all the calculations and deal with stats, skills, and basic attacks. I will have a block for recording loot as well (from the gear/junk tables). I also need to put in level and XP, which will probably go at the top next to name and origins. I *could* do a back for powers, but then we start getting character specific. I would rather use power cards for powers and just using a front-side character sheet. I tend to laminate these things and then use a wet-erase marker to record the info. Makes it muuuuch easier in the long run and far more attractive than the base sheets. |
| #39ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 1:38:33 | Updated version of the Character Sheet. It's starting to get a bit packed...I don't know if I'll have enough room for gear, ancient junk, and other stuff. At least on the front. I *could* still do a back with the powers, gear, etc. But I'm really starting to lean towards cards for that stuff...again, I could probably move the HP, speed, etc up to the top and put in a "Gear/Notes" section that goes to the bottom... What do you think so far? Of course, the image and blue-ish fade will change with other images. Because I love everyone, I put in the gear box and changed the pic/fade to show ya. Top is the newest, bottom is the one just before. ![]() ![]() |
| #40spellbinder5150Oct 21, 2010 5:09:42 | Just make it more than one page. I do not mind 2-3 pages, as long as I have plenty of room for everything. Those look freaking amazing, ExcalibursZone. |
| #41ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 8:08:38 | Glad you like. I'll go ahead and set up a back that allows you to put in your origin powers and trait stuff since that seems about the only thing missing (aside from your second wind). If there's anything I missed, let me know, I'll make sure it's there somewhere. |
| #42wolfe_deckardOct 21, 2010 9:58:11 | Is there a way to add your own pics to those amazing character sheets, Excalibur? |
| #43ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 10:37:53 | Is there a way to add your own pics to those amazing character sheets, Excalibur? Why yes, just point me to the image in question and you get a custom sheet (via PDF) along with a matching color fade. Though it's best to point me to large images rather than tiny ones (say 640x480 at the smallest). I might even release the SVG source file so you can load it up in Inkscape and do it yourself. Though, if you've never used Inkscape before, it'll take some tutorializin... Glad you like the sheets ![]() |
| #44raleelOct 21, 2010 15:36:12 | those are fantatic sheets. really really nice. |
| #45battles14Oct 21, 2010 17:32:15 | My Gamma World Origins Half-Sheets are finished and can be downloaded via the following link: www.mediafire.com/?79zm3f307mq1ljv Enjoy, and let me know what you think. |
| #46ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 17:46:47 | Glad you like the sheets! I'll be putting together the back side tonight and hopefully pictures of the other character types from the book. Maybe I can use other postapoc images for other character sheets, but I'll have my hands full with just the ones represented in the book. Those half-sheets are pretty slick. Almost makes me want to have them on either side of a character sheet... ;) |
| #47ah_anarchyOct 21, 2010 18:27:58 | Fantastic sheets, Excaliburs! |
| #48gribbleOct 21, 2010 19:43:04 | The sheets are looking really nice excaliburs, but I'd prefer if the columns were laid out differently, something like: name & level |Ability scores origins | skills (nested under appropriate ability scores) traits? | defences | hp | init/speed/etc | With the weapons/powers listed under the picture on the far right hand side, as above. Make sense? |
| #49ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 20:17:18 | The sheets are looking really nice excaliburs, but I'd prefer if the columns were laid out differently, something like: It makes sense, I tried it that way but unfortunately, there just isn't enough room for the skills. The main purpose of this style of character sheet is to mimic the size and look of the Encounters/Game Day character sheets that WotC has put out. The secondary purpose is to allow the sheets to fit in the box. |
| #50gribbleOct 21, 2010 21:07:32 | Fair enough - thanks for the effort and good work.![]() |
| #51ExcalibursZoneOct 21, 2010 22:00:37 | I have now run into an issue with powers on the back (which is why I suggest using cards >) heh heh heh) If I make the powers generic so that you can write the stuff in (like in Oraibi's excellent sheet) there is so much space needed for writing the stuff in that you can only fit 4 powers on the back instead of the full 6 + traits. That makes things really suck. So, here's my solution, please let me know if this is OK with you guys. What I'm going to do is just provide a bit of writing space for you to write pertinent power information. That's IF you don't take my suggestion and use cards for the origin powers. Now, it will be NO problem at all to put space for Primary and Secondary trait info including quick spaces to write power names in (in case you turn cards in to the DM after each session...I know many players who seem to lose character sheets and therefore "memorize" their characters *rolleyes*). I can include a few lines for power effects after each power name as well. So I'll do that, post a quick view of the front + back, and let you guys tell me what you think. Oh, AH_Anarchy...I stole your idea to use the Disintegration font (GOD! I wish WotC used standard text boxes for their forums...*grr* then my spellchecker would work...) for use as the title font Hope you don't mind! |
| #52ExcalibursZoneOct 22, 2010 1:13:12 | OK, without further ado, I present to you 10 character sheets, front and back. They are modeled after WotC's wonderful Encounters and Game Day character cards. I highly suggest that you print these out on 110lb card stock, laminate both sides with self-adhesive laminating sheets (no need for a hot laminator) and THEN cut the card from the full sheet. You'll have a wet/dry erasable character sheet you can use for your Gamma World games. Hit the spoiler for a preview of the v1 sheets (I reserve the right to change these at any time). |
| #53Tony_VargasOct 22, 2010 2:12:38 | I really like the design. One thought, though: if the image on each one is of an origin, why not have that origin's stuff already printed on the sheet? |
| #54ExcalibursZoneOct 22, 2010 7:59:32 | Thought of that, but which origin? Primary? Secondary? I figured I'd skip past the hard coding like what WotC does since in the book they say that you can look like almost anything. So a pyro could be green instead of red. I just did a sheet for each of the origin images. People could tell me they want specific images used and I could swap that in lickety-split. |
| #55Tony_VargasOct 22, 2010 19:51:01 | My thought was you probably look more like your Primary origin than your secondary, so you'd take the sheet with the image of the Primary origin your rolled. Then roll the secondary and fill it in. But I get where you're coming from: that glowy katana chick could just as easily be an android or a TK or whatever as the Radioactive the illo is from... |
| #56ExcalibursZoneOct 22, 2010 22:40:06 | Man, after all that, I found a typo...Intiative is Dex mod + Level + bonuses, not Int/Dex + Level +10...woopsie. I'll fix that at a later date, busy getting materials ready for tomorrow. If anyone else finds typos/errors, please let me know. |
| #57sixgunninjaOct 23, 2010 0:20:03 | Gorgeous sheets ExcalibursZone! And to look a gift horse in the mouth, have you considered a Black & White version? Its easy enough to print in Grey-scale, but that never looks as good as something that was designed in B&W to start with. Also, since we now have AH_Anarchy's beautiful Power Cards, here, what about the back side of the sheet? Wouldn't something more like the Page 2 of the 4e Default Character Sheet make sense, and would allow you to move some of the Gear and other panels you added to the front side of your sheets. Amateur suggestions aside, I really like the layout of your sheets, great work! |
| #58ExcalibursZoneOct 23, 2010 0:29:54 | I'm a complete amateur at this so no offense at any criticism good/bad/constructive/ugly. I'm glad you like them My goal was to mimic the encounters cards as much as possible without hardcoding anything on it. I think I have accomplished that, for the most part. With the power cards, sure, I could move a lot of the frontside junk to the back and display more of the art. I'd more than likely move all equipment to the back including weapons. Then I'd probably try to fit the skills in with the ability scores. If I was *REALLY* ambitious, I would set the sheet up as a web page that would allow you to auto-fill everything and print out. that would eliminate a heaping junk-load of those white boxes and make the sheets look even better. I might even consider allowing different images and fades to be created. I mean, it's certainly doable and I already have 3/4 of a JavaScript generator written (OOP with DOM injection, gotta love it). The trick would be how to handle the image and fade. Just a lot of work to think about right now ;) heh Maybe in a few weeks I could make it possible... Just think an Encounters-style character card you can fill in online with any character's info. how fun! |
| #59ExcalibursZoneOct 23, 2010 9:17:17 | Gorgeous sheets ExcalibursZone! Black & white/greyscale would certainly be doable. If there's enough request, I can do that. |
| #60villianbynecessityOct 29, 2010 14:47:58 | these are awesome. Any plans for the other origins? |
| #61ExcalibursZoneOct 29, 2010 14:58:15 | these are awesome. Any plans for the other origins? By other origins do you mean the ones coming out for Famine in Far-Go? Yep, as long as there is some image that represents the origin. I can make custom character sheets if you want one specific to your character(s). Just point me to the image(s) you want to use and I'll make it happen. Just be sure the images are 640x480 or larger (I will resize to fit). I'll plop them all ina PDF and you can print them out and go. I suggest laminating them when you print them so that you can easily update the character without erasing or reprinting. I am also working on a webpage that does random generation of the character and puts the info on the character sheet for you. Though this is going to take some time to accomplish. |
| #62palmerkunOct 29, 2010 16:06:41 | Black & white/greyscale would certainly be doable. If there's enough request, I can do that. +1 request. I abuse the work printer for stuff, so it's BW only for me. |
| #63ExcalibursZoneOct 29, 2010 16:08:39 | I'll see what I can do about producing B&W versions in addition to color versions of these sheets. |
