Distant cousin of http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1193601

I've got things to do today, but I'll be back later tomorrow with some details, but basically I was creating a Manor House for a campaign and having trouble coming up with rooms to fill it with.

I did some Wikifying and got some ideas, but it was quite frustrating. So I figured I'd start a thread about it.

Possibly more clarifications

Manor - "small" private estate. Some guest quarters, and servant quarters but mostly a private home.

Palace - Large private estate, with some government rooms built in (throne room?)

Castle - Full of subcomplexes and other odd rooms. HUGE!

A dungeon. A torture chamber. A jail. A dungeon. Did I mention a dungeon?

Don't forget the antechambers full of traps and ambushing goblins between every other two rooms.

Any noble who is interested in science (or magic) on the side, or has someone in their court who does, will of course need a laboratory that is separate from their work study/office. If the interest is held to be sufficiently important, or illegal, there might be a separate library in connection to it.

An abattoir. No home is complete without one!
