| #1strudel_lumpycakesMay 19, 2009 22:31:39 | My group has recently expressed interest in participating in an evil game, so I thought I might stir up some delicious listage to inspire me. 1. The Battle of Whiteskull Pass was a slaughter. The corpses of orcs, gnolls, goblins, and countless other savage humanoids litter the blood-stained battlefield as crows circle overhead. No side can claim victory, save for the village of Sunstone, which had, until recently, been plagued by the swarms of brutal humanoids that ran rife throughout the surrounding hills. However, such savages make poor neighbors, and tensions escalated to a bloody peak in the heady months of summer. The PCs, some of the few survivors of this conflict, realize they must set aside their racial differences and band together if they hope to survive the inevitable finishing blow marshaled by the people of Sunstone. |

The Divine Empress has learned of a group of heroes who are inciting the local peasantry to rise up against her oppressive underlings, and so she commissions the PCs to put down this uprising with extreme prejudice and bring these heroes before her...preferably alive, so she can torture them for kicks. Failure is not an option: the last team she sent failed, and the PCs saw their corpses hanging from a tree on their way in. So the PCs have to track these heroes down, but nobody is willing to help the PCs (who are known lackeys of the Divine Empress), so maybe they need to use more extreme means of eliciting information. Maybe make examples out of a few of them. Turns out these heroes are trying to resurrect the Legendary Badass who once saved the world generations ago (and was the Divine Empress' paramour, back in the day). Can't let that happen. |

| #4lord_karsusMay 21, 2009 17:54:01 | 4) A long forgotten evil has escaped, and is slowly enthralling any and all settlements found near it's lair. |
| #5jimprofitMay 21, 2009 19:00:31 | 5) The PCs must fight the demons. The PCs must fight the demons. No Johnathin! The PCs ARE the demons! .... *And then this became an undead campaign* 6) The PCs are lackeys and want to get involved in the lucrative industry of supervillany. So they run some big supervillain's errands. It's like a buisness. Wacken Lich Security Firm is in direct competition with 4k Red Dragon's Defenses. 7) The PCs are forced to be villains inorder to save the universe. World peace has been brought to the land causing cosmic entities to be worrisome that if ever lead astray, the entire world would riseup in massive ignorance. As opposed to simply the occassional insane wizard or standing army. As such, the PCs must promote chaos, destruction, and conflict within the world. As well as disease, pestilance, and death. To insure that these cosmic entities do not find the world to be a threat and don't just flatout whipe it all out! 8) PCs based off the plotlines of Evil Ernie. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evil_Ernie |
| #6Lord_VentnorMay 23, 2009 1:00:38 | 9.) The PCs were all the exarchs of an evil god who stripped them of most of their powers with an elaborate ritual and banished them to the mortal world to humiliate them. The PCs band together to get payback. |
| #7thecommabanditMay 23, 2009 5:37:27 | 10) A group of heroes have risen to fame and are known to be questing for an important artifact that will solve the bloody (and profitable) conflicts that have torn the world for centuries. It is the PCs duty to stop these heroes from acquiring the holy artifact before it's too late! Man, I love flipping clichés. |
| #8senorpenor42May 23, 2009 9:06:14 | 11) Aint no rest for the wicked: The PCs are petty criminals who long for something more. They long to be the richest, most powerful people in the world. The PCs start off as simple prostitutes and muggers and work their way up to being kingpins, and eventually, gods. |
| #91958FuryMay 23, 2009 9:37:02 | There's some great stuff in this thread, and I may have to steal some of it. In a few months, I might be running an evil campaign, at the request of some friends. In mine: 12) A priestess of Lolth has ordered the drow players to the surface for a mission. The players don't know it, but the mission itself isn't of any importance. It's just an excuse to send the players to the surface world, where they can spread chaos. ...but of course I'll flesh that out more before the game takes place. |
| #10SkitzafreakMay 23, 2009 10:35:38 | 13) The PCs are a member of a dark society whose leader secretly serves Tiamat. The party is sent on missions to 'desecrate the plane ushering it into a new state of darkness an chaos' when in all actuality they are slaying the followers of Bahamut. When the PCs (at a much later level) discover that they have in fact been used and tricked, they seek to destroy their organizations leader and hopefully replace him. Mine seems a little iffy, but meh if it works it works :P |
