For those of us who use versatile weapons two handed, one thing to do would be to make it +1 damage per [W]. Would that be balanced?

Not in the slightest. right now, the longsword does as much damage as a greatsword on at wills and other 1[w] powers and still has the option to lower and raise a shield or draw another weapon. Change it at the very least whatever small tenuous grasp on usability the greatsword has is gone.

Indeed 1d10+1 is almost comparable to 2d6 (.5 in favor of the 2d6), and the option to drop and raise shield is enough that it would generally be preferred over 2d6 weapons (in my guessing)

What about adding an extra Str/Con modifier to damage when using any weapon 2 handed... or an extra half of the modifier, like in 3.x?
