They are tough and quick, but lack physical power, and are considered to vermin by most, if often tolerated due to their willingness to take the dirtiest of jobs. They live in tight-knit communities, and as such, if you wrong one Skraven, you have wronged them all. Recently, a Skraven Mafia has sprung up, causing people to fear the Skraven all the more. Features: +2 to Move Silently and Listen checks - the Skraven are lightfooted folk, with keen hearing. +4 to Intimidate checks - due to the Skraven's habit of avenging wrongdoing as an entire community, and the notoriety of their mafia, the people fear the Skraven's wrath. -2 to Sense Motive checks with other races - the animalistic Skraven struggle to understand the communications of more "enlightened" races. Lowlight Vision Small Size Bite attack for 1d4 damage, plus a 25% risk of infection with a random disease - the Skraven have rather poor hygiene, and tend to carry a lot of diseases. Base Land Speed 40ft - the Skraven are very quick on their feet +4 saving throw bonus vs disease and poison - they have very developed immune systems from living in the squalor they so easily tolerate. Favored Class: Rogue As always, please PEACH and I apologise if this is the wrong place for any 3.5 homebrew. |
| #2natural20usernameOct 13, 2011 18:26:58 | I've never played 3.5, so no comments from me on the race. This IS a general homebrew forum, so it isn't the wrong place. However, there is a legacy 3.5 houserules forum which might get you more responses. |

Next up infection is generally based on a fort save not a % roll. |
| #4jzadekOct 15, 2011 17:44:23 | Ok, so I guess just dropping the disease thing altogether would be a good idea, then? |
| #5rampantOct 15, 2011 19:07:06 | I see a few options 1.) Replace it with a standard poison bite 2.) Choose a disease and use the standard infection method 3.) Ditch it (possibly make a feat or racial class feature swap option to make the diseas thing an optional thing) |
| #6RhovanionOct 20, 2011 17:38:16 | If I remember correctly, there is a 3rd party book, "Warrens of the Ratmen" or something to that effect that fully details a very similar race, complete with feats, weapons, PrCs, etc. |
| #7kerokOct 20, 2011 17:44:51 | I would lower their speed back to the normal of 30ft and maybe change it to something like while running or making a double move, add 10ft to the movement. |
