I have been waiting for a polymorphing wizard for a long time now, and since WoTC can't seem to get around to it. Here is what I have come with. This .doc has a full set of powers, and two pragon paths, to me it seems balanced, at least for a polymorphing wizard. All advice (and praise) welcome.

Here is the link.

Certainly, that could be a way to go, but thats bland. The druid to me doesn't even feel much like a shapechanger, its basically hey I look like a cat now. I can claw you yay! I'm just me except a cat. Which is one of the reasons I generally don't care for the new druids. They look, feel and play completely different then any other version.

Which is to say, they're balanced.

Well, I certainly don't have the time and energy to go through all the powers and do a detailed evaluation of each one. The concept seems sound. It really isn't much different from the druid in essence except for the granted abilities in each form. It certainly isn't introducing any problematic mechanics. It does somewhat kick the Changeling in the teeth, but I'm not complaining about that since Changelings really honestly are a neat sounding idea but lack sufficient support to be much good as it is (plus for homebrew who cares?).

The only thing I'm a bit uncertain about is why you went to the trouble to make it an entire class. Seems like a LOT of work when at its base its fundamentally a wizard with a bit different spell selection. I'd have thought it would be a LOT simpler to just do up the daily powers and call them wizard powers and make it a wizard build option. However, you did go to the effort to make a full list of powers, so you might as well go with it now ;) No doubt some will be problematic, but the ones I did eyeball didn't seem drastically out of line.
