Use the rules for Wizards except as follows: Trained Skills: From the class skills list below, choose four trained skills at 1st level. Class Skills: Arcana (Int), Bluff (Cha), History (Int), Insight (Wis), Intimidate (Cha), Religion (Int), Streetwise (Cha), Thievery (Dex) Replace the Spellbook and Ritual Casting class features with Magic In the Blood and Force of Personality. Force of Personality Your Wizard spells use your Charisma modifier instead of Intelligence for attack and damage rolls. All other effects that are based on Intelligence remain unchanged. Magic In the Blood The first time you become bloodied during an encounter one of your encounter spells recharges. Sorcerer Feats Sorcerers count as Wizards for the purpose of fulfilling feat prerequisites. More Magic In the Blood [Sorcerer] Prerequisites: Sorcerer, Con 13 or Wis 13 When you use your Second Wind one of your encounter spells recharges. |

The regaining of the Encouter power is probably enough to counter balance the loss of the spell book and its associated extra powers. In fact, it may be too much, since many characters (at least in my limited 4E experience) become bloodied almost every encounter. I still think the 3.X version (feel? flavor?) of the Sorceror is probably dead now though. I don't think they can make something with the same feel in 4E, which sucks since the Sorceror was my favorite class in 3.X. Oh well, I'm enjoying 4E without them. |

| #4wyld_mutationJun 24, 2008 12:25:57 | Quick fix "The first time you become bloodied in an encounter gain an extra use of a per-encounter power." That way it functions if you don't use any per-encounters. |
| #5fredrik_svanbergJun 24, 2008 12:45:34 | Nice idea but I prefer my version. It makes them want to use at least one encounter power as soon as possible, and doesn't reward caution. |
| #6wyld_mutationJun 24, 2008 13:06:56 | I didn't say I didn't like your way. I just fix'd it so the other guy liked it. I think I'm gonna get that included in the campaign. Maybe create a sorceror only implement? (Can anyone say "familiars"?) |

My initial reaction to bloodied feat though is, "hmmm, I'd add a feat called Force of Will and let the sorcerer's Second Wind allow the recharge of one Encounter spell." if I was going to do a recharge system. That kind of takes care of the bloodied bit because that's usually when a sorcerer is going to use it anyway, it fits the other feat to me better at first glance, kind of a theme thing going, and allows the sorcerer the choice of when to recharge. Recharge earlier and you give up a healing surge, wait till your bloodied and you get both but at the risk of delaying your recharge till then. D |

If I interpret you correctly you just described what my feat already does. How would you change it? |
