Also apologizing for that other thread, when I attempted ot make it the nicety of these forums kept giving me a page error or something, why the other post has nothing in it.

Alright, looking for a bit of help in creating a 4th edition Psion class for other's to play. Right now I've got the basics, though the powers I am probably going to get to when I get to some other things but anyways, here is the initial basis, and want some critques on what I have for the class traits;

CLASS TRAITS
Role: Controller. The striking fist or flashing sword pales before your focused stare – destroying their minds or hindering their own bodily functions.
Power Source: Psionic. You channel mental energy through intense mental training, meditative focus and extensive physical training. To you, the mind is a weapon as deadly as any sword or spell.
Key Abilities: Wisdom, Intelligence, Constitution

Armor Proficiency: Cloth
Weapon Proficiency: Simple Weapons
Implements: Psicrystal
Bonus to Defense: +1 Fortitude, +1 Will, +1 Reflex

Hit Points at 1st Level: 10 + Constitution score
Hit Points Gained per Level: 4
Healing Surges per Day: 6 + Constitution modifier

Trained Skills: Endurance. From the class skills list below, choose three more trained skills at 1st level.
Class Skills: Athletics(STR), Diplomacy(CHA), Endurance(CON), Heal(WIS), History(INT), Insight(WIS), Perception(WIS)

Build Options: Savant, seer
Class Features: Psionic Attack, Psionic Defense

Role: Controller.

I'm not sure Psions are controllers. They tend to be single target.

Yea, I've been thinking about that to. Not sure they would fit under leader or striker either, and definitely not defender. Controller seems the best to me, however, because typically you use your mind to control what other's do. And possibly could spread their effects to being more area to *shrugs*

Anyways, I am hoping to be able to have a composite list, the Savant and Seer thing explained as well as the psion attacks and defenses here soon.

Classical 1/2E psioncists are strikers, who instead of overwhelming damage, inflinct ailemnts to single target (look at the Starlock for example)

3E Kinetsists are controllers in damage form.
3E Egoists would be defenders
3E Telepaths are 1/2E psioncists
3E Savants are best handled through psionic rituals
3E Shapers are problematic due to conservation of actions
3E Nomads are controllers/striker hybrids (I would guess, they are really not easily put into the roles as presented).
