| #1jobies201Jun 12, 2008 13:41:07 | So, I'm making a Homebrew Druid class. It's pretty much a combination of other striker's powers and a few homebrew things. Later tonight I'll post paragon paths, some magic items, some rituals. Next week (next Saturday) I'll do level 11-20 powers, maybe some items. It should be done by the end of next month. I realize this isn't great but, it's a druid, right? "Dungeons and Dragons, 4th Edition, Druid Class: This is a druid character I’ve made to accompany the D&D 4th edition game. The druid will be a striker, and have the ability to morph into an animal at-will. The druid can fight as a normal __insert race here__ but it will only have the power of a rogue or so. Most of the druid’s powers will only available when in animal form. SPECIAL NOTE: I don’t know where to put this, so I’ll do it here. I think adding 5 – 10 gp to an item, depending on what it is, would be a good cost for an enchantment that allows the armor and weapon to morph into animal form. Class Traits: Role: Striker. Power Source: Nature. Your talents depend on your focus and connections with the natural world around you. Key Abilities: Dex, Cha, Str Armor Proficiencies: Cloth, leather Weapon Proficiencies: Dagger, Hand Crossbow, Short Sword Bonus to Defense: +2 Reflex Hit points at 1st level: 10+Constitution score Hit points per Level Gained: 6 Healing Surges per Day: 6+Constitution modifier Trained Skills: Nature. Pick four more from the list below: Acrobatics (Dex), Dungeoneering (Wis), Insight (Wis), Intimidate (Cha), Perception (Wis), Stealth (Dex) Build Options: Sorry. Don’t have time to make these. Have fun! Class Features: All druids have the Animal Form at will power and get a +2 class bonus on Nature and Dungeoneering checks. No druid may wield anything but a dagger, hand crossbow, or short sword if they want to use their animal form. Power: Animal Form (Druid Class Feature) With a flash of light you transform into a beast of your choosing. Your weapon melds and your armor adjusts so it works on your new form. You have become one with nature. At-Will Special: When in animal form you take +2 to all reflex rolls and +2 to damage. While in animal form all your attacks, movement, etc work the same. Level 11, increases to +3 for reflex and +4 for damage. Level 21, increases to +5 for reflex and +6 for damage. Powers: These powers are a mish-mosh of the other strikers powers with a good amount of home-made nature related ones thrown in. All powers have the requirement, “Must be in Animal form” unless otherwise noted. All targets are against one opponent in range, unless otherwise noted. Level One At-Will Powers: 1. Hit and Run, from the Ranger class 2. Nimble Strike, from the Ranger class 3. Eye of the Tiger (cheesy rename of the Eyebite power, for Warlocks) 4. Twighlight Strike At-Will. Ranged 20. Attack: Cha vs. Fort Hit: 1[W]+ Cha mod The target is engulfed in the darkness of the night and falls asleep. (save ends). Paragon Level:2[W] Epic Tier: 3[W] Level One Encounter Powers: 1. Dazing Strike, from the Rogue class 2. Dire Wolverine Strike, from the Ranger class Drop requirement of 2 weapons. 3. Diabolic Grasp, from the Ranger class. The talon would be one of the earth however, not one of darkness. 4. Face of the Wild. Encounter. You quickly chant an incantation and, using your connection to the Earth, project an image of a large creature to scare your opponent, allowing you to move in for attack. Ranged 10. Attack: CHA vs. Will Hit: You move adjacent to the target as a free action and make two attacks. 2[W]+Cha Epic Tier: 3[W] Level One Daily Powers 1. Nature’s Protection. (Warlock Daily Power: Armor of Agythys. Except it’s just normal ice, not black ice from some other dimension 2. Blinding Barrage (From Rogue class, drop requirement and the projectiles will be pebbles that you conjure out of the air) 3. Hunter’s Bear Trap (Ranger class) 4. Tree Sap Daily As you strike your opponent you connect to the wilderness around you to create a pool of sticky sap under his feet. Melee Attack: CHA vs. Will Hit: 2[W]+CHA mod. Target is slowed, (save ends), for three rounds maximum. Level Two Utility Powers 1. Yield Ground (Ranger class) 2. Fleeting Ghost (Rogue class) 3. Shadow Vell (Warlock Class) 4. Fiendish Resilance (Warlock Class. You call upon the power of nature of course, not demons) Level Three Encounter Powers 1. Fiery Bolt (Change constitution to Charisma everywhere, and take out the pact part.) 2. Topple Over (Rogue) 3. Shadow Wasp Strike (Ranger, drop the “that is your quarry” part from Target) 4. Bullets of Rain Encounter You call upon your connection with the weather to drop multiple piercing raindrops on your foe, as you rain strikes on them. Melee Attack: CHA vs. Ref Hit: 2[W]+ 1d8 (from the rain) Epic, increase to 3d8 Level Five Daily Exploits 1. Excruciating Bite (As the Rogue’s Excruciating Strike power, except no longer ranged) 2. Walking Wounded (Rogue) 3. Avernian Eruption (Warlock, no implement) 4. Two Wolf Pounce (Ranger, drop requirement and 2nd attack is done by an astral projection of you in animal form as a wolf, same stats) Level Six Utility Powers 1. Evade Ambush (Ranger) 2. Chameleon (Rogue) 3. Winds of Change (Warlock. Same as Fey Switch, except instead of stepping into some crazy demon land you use the power of a strong concentrated gust of wind to switch the two of you) 4. Mounts for All Daily Suddenly, 3 shining astral horses appear, ready to ride. Effect: You conjure up mounts for all with you, up to 10. These mounts do not need to eat or drink, and do not tire however they only last 5 hours, or until they are struck with any weapon. Level Seven Encounter Powers 1. Sign of Ill Omen (Warlock. Again, you turn nature against the opponent, not demonic stuff) 2. Thunderous Strike Encounter A large cloud appears above your target and, with a roar of thunder, lightning strikes him. Ranged 20 Attack: Cha vs AC Hit: 2[W]+Cha lightning damage. 3. Hawk’s Talon (Ranger) 4. Spikes of the Manticore (Ranger) Level Nine Daily Exploits 1. Attacks on the Run (Ranger) 2. Swirling Leaves of Steel (Ranger. Drop the requirement. It’s now a ranged 20 attack, where you shoot actual leaves of steel at the target) 3. Crimson Edge (Rogue. Drop requirement.) 4. Curse of the Black Frost (Warlock) Level Ten Utility Powers 1. Shadow Form (Warlock) 2. Teleport (Same as Warlock’s Leap, except no demon stuff) 3. Expeditious Stride (Ranger) 4. Undaunted Stride (Ranger) " I'll offer a Word document with all items, rituals, powers, paragon paths, when I'm done. |
