| #1infectious-oneFeb 21, 2012 2:29:51 | So I'm about to start playing on a second game and I wanna play as a death giant but I don't know if that can be a playable character since I've only seen it as a monster our DM said there are no restrictions on our characters so how would I go about making a character sheet for a death giant |
| #2praedoranFeb 21, 2012 14:37:57 | Why not ask your DM to play the monster itself? Perhaps scaled down for level (HP, Attack, Defense, Damage should be scaled to the Party's level +4), but it doesn't seem to have any tier breaking abilities and your background should cover why you're so weak right now now in comparison. You'd be more simplistic than an Essentials character, but it'd be a great RP opportunity. iirc correctly, even Chris Perkin's lets a Player in his Epic Level campaign play a Pit Fiend straight out of the Monster Manuals. |

I thought it was a fire giant and his son, not a pit fiend in his epic game? Maybe it happened twice? Also IIRC is If I Recall/Remember Correctly. Saying IIRC correctly is redundant. |
| #4praedoranFeb 21, 2012 15:34:53 | It was discussed in his last Iomandra article. Aye, that's not something I do often, but I've been really prone to grammar mistakes lately. |

| #6infectious-oneFeb 22, 2012 13:01:40 | Hey guys thanks I appreciate the help I'm gonna copy this whole thread just to show him how good of an idea it is. Another quick question do you guys know how much a giant weighs and how to go about making him a lich cause that is his major goal in life |
| #7KruskFeb 22, 2012 15:11:18 | One of the MMs has a lich ritual in it, but I don't remember which one. It has no gold cost, and is supposed to be NPC only. Consider letting him find it, or clues for it, as quest rewards. Perhapse he finds it early, and has to hunt out ingrediants (that you make up). As for weight... they are large creatures. So probably like 10 ft tall, maybe 400-500 lbs? For a big one? No idea as far as official, thats just my best guess. |
| #8praedoranFeb 22, 2012 22:38:24 | Weight? A lot. A fully sized Angus cow would probably be your guideline, and they weigh upwards of about three thousand pounds. If you go half that and a little more, you'll probably end up with a humanoid's weight. So my guess is around 1600 pounds. |
