Centuries ago Faust stole the key to the center of the world from Vecna, and used it to release Rovagug, an elder god who had been sealed away many millennia ago by the other elder gods. When Rovagug was released he began devouring and destroying everything. Asmodeus, Bahamut, Boccob, Erythnul, Heironious, Hextor, Kord, Pelor, St. Cuthbert, Tiamet, and Weejas banned together to defeat Rovagug, many of the gods were defeated, but Heironious finally slew the beast forcing it back into the hole of the earth where Asmodeus locked the beast away once again. But Heironious was near death and it was then that Hextor struck; slaying Heironious where he lay. Many Gods were lost that day all either destroyed or devourered by The Great Destroyer, leaving Asmodeus, Bahamat, Hextor, St. Cuthbert alive. These gods and beings who survived this event have come to call this battle the “Reckoning” But what none of the other gods know (except maybe Vecna) was that it was Asmodeus who told Faust where the key was hidden, and now the key remains in his clutched hand. Now with Kord, Pelor, and Heironious gone Asmodeus's influence grew, and with Boccob gone the Magics were in his hands. And without Wee Jas the souls of the living fell to him.
Post Reckoning: CG Creator of Elves CG Corellon Larethian Chaos, Good, Protection LG Father of Dwarves LG Torag (P38) Dwarves, artifice, earth, Protection The Platinum Dragon LG Bahamut Air, Good Protection NG Goddess of Woodlands NG Ehlonna Animal, Good, Plant, The Sparkling Wit NG Garl Glittergold Good, Protection, Trickery LN The Justicar LN St. Cuthbert Law Destruction Strength, Protection N The Winds and Waves N Gozreh (P18) Air, Plants, Water NE The Whispered One NE Vecna Evil Knowledge Magic LE The Dark Prince LE Asmodeus (P6) Evil, Fire, Law, Magic, Scourage of Battle LE Hextor Destruction, Evil, Law, War CE The Great Destroyer CE Rovagug (P32) Chaos, Destruction, Evil One-Eye CE Gruumsh Chaos Evil Strength War
After the Reckoning the world became a darker place, evil slowly crept and made its workings into the world. Tainting the lands. Corellon Larethian, Torag, Yondalla, and Garl Glittergold took their races and hid them away, the Dwarves and Gnomes took to the mountains and Elves and halflings to the deep forests, leaving the Humans vulnerable to this taint, it was only through the efforts of heroes that the humans survived these Heroes became lesser gods taking up mantles of the old gods that had fallen during the Reckoning, Gorum Sarenae Branwen Timoth Skithrix Nethys
Gorum was a warrior of good who faught against the Aberrant and Abyssal forces that slowly leaked into the world, safe gaurding the his people and inheriting the the Throne of the new country, Brashern. It was after he slew Lord Scrynge, a Balor Lord of great power, that he gained his divine ranking; moving to the celestial plane to guard the material plane from above.
When Pelor was destroyed he released his energy leaving it in the form of his Solarice. Sarenae, a cleric who survived Reckoning had lost all hope in the world, and while being persued by a horde of undead took refuge in a cavern where she came upon Solarice and as the horde closed in upon her she seized the mace, the power of Pelor flooded into her and the mighty mace became a shining Scimitar decucing the horde to ash.
Brawnwen a powerful Sorceress came upon the lost Library of Wee Jas and spent a half a centurie studying the magics locked within and through the Tomb of Repose came to understand the Weave de Morte, the path to the underworld, a system that even Asmodeus could not navigate. Branwen reveres life, respects the dead, but loathes the undead seeing them as an abomination against the natural order.
Timoth has traveled the entire material plane learning its secrets an chronicling them in tomes and leaving them in libraries. These tomes have maps of all the lands a complete compendium of spells and an extensive list of every creature and artifact he has ever come across. After he completed this journey he left to go and travel every plane in existence.
Nethys was a powerful Sorcerer and Wizard who tried to make the world a better place by using his extensive knowledge of magic to resurrect the destroyed remains of Tiamet, but Tiamet's power was too much for Nethys the spell went a rye and tore Nethys into two entities. Thus the creation of Nethys the Maker and Sythen the Breaker.
Skithrix is the reanimated remains of Tiamet coming back as a dracolich, Skithrix sees Bahamat as his archenemy and plots for his destruction
Uncle Nergal Is the Patron god of the Umbra, who came across the Wastes hoping to give his people a better life, But because his people were hated and persecuted by the people of this world. He sacrificed his Right Eye, to give them the power to shroud themselves.
Marie Henri Raymond Toulouse-Lautrec-Montfa was the Umbra who lead Her father into the Material Realm, after exploring the world she found that it was filled with taint and evil. While exploring hell she found the Key and many other artifacts that Asmodeus had collected in his vaults. She stole the key and hid them away.

| #2cha-ikaDec 25, 2010 18:53:22 | That's a ton of iunformation, and most of them seem like they we're already in existence from different worlds... Did you need help on the story on how they fit together or on gods that you've created to join them? If it's the first can you put some of stories together more fluidly so that we can read them easier. If it's the latter can u seperate your gods from the others so we can judge them better, and please tell us more about them? Thank would love to help, working on a pantheon of my own. |
