I've joined an online PbP game where all the players are gods. The game is to help the GM develop a mythology for his new campaign world, and as such, he has asked that each player submit a Channel Divinity feat that that deity's worshippers may take. I've joined the game as one of the four primordials that made the world, specifically the earth primordial, and I need to think of a good Channel Divinity feat (apparently primordials can bestow them in this world). My primordial is a slow, steady type, who's main gimmick is his unyielding, unbreakable personality. Here's what I've written about him:

Name/Titles: Moraz (The Rock Dragon, Lord Of The Earth Beneath, He Who Is Unbreakable)
Classification: Primordial
Alignment: Unaligned
Domains: Earth, Strength, Destruction
Appearance: A massive dragon/turtle creature made of stone with some greenery growing on his back.

Interesting - I like this god. As for CD feats, here are my thoughts. I tend to believe that deities should embrace multiple and varied philosophies (especially if they're contradictory: my favorite ever is a homebrew god of creation and destruction). I think that all deities should offer at least two Channel Divinity feats, and possibly more, each one representing a particular aspect of their portfolio. With that in mind, here are the ideas I have for Moraz.

Strength of the Earth Beneath
The unyielding power of Moraz grants you endurance beyond mortal means.
Free Action
Trigger: You or one ally within 5 squares is affected by a push, pull, or slide
Target: The ally pushed, pulled, or slid
Effect: The target is not pushed, pulled, or slid. It also gains temporary hit points equal to one-half your level.

Unbreakable Armor of Moraz
Moraz's thick carapace grants you a measure of his resilience in battle.
Minor Action
Personal
Effect: You gain temporary hits points equal to 5 + your level. These temporary hit points stack with other forms of temporary hit points.

I think I'll use Strength of the Earth Beneath for the purposes of this roleplay. Thanks for your help!

I'm playing in the same PbP game and I have submitted this god:

Name/Titles: Ubmarak, The Tentacle Beast, The Lord of the Depths, He Who Waits in the Darkness
Classification: Primordial
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Domains: Darkness, Cold, Water
Appearance: Ubmarak is a gigantic, misshapen squid-like creature with several dozen barbed tentacles
Spoiler

Personality: Ubmarak is the ultimate force of hate and the bringer of despair. He is prone to anger and envy, believing that that all of Creation should ultimately serve him. He is a fickle primordial, impossible to please and even harder to understand. However, Ubmarak is not as reckless as one would think. He likes to use mortals as his playthings, but he prefers manipulation to outright violent coercion. Then, when they less expect it, the Lord of the Depths will unleash a terrible storm and crush what's left of their spirit.

Commandments:
Take what you want.
Draw upon your anger and hatred to become stronger.
Embrace the darkness; rely on stealth and subterfuge, never revealing your true nature to your enemies until it is too late for them.

Here is my tentative Channel Divinity power inspired by something I came across on another site:

Ubmarak's Siphon
You and your target are surrounded with a cold, blue mist as Ubmarak drains your opponent's life force - and a bit of yours, too.
Encounter Divine
Standard Action Ranged 5
Target: One enemy
Attack: Wisdom vs. Fortitude or Charisma vs. Fortitude
Hit: The target is weakened (save ends).
Effect: You lose one healing surge.
Special: You must take Ubmarak’s Siphon feat to use this power.

What do you think of it? Does anyone have a suggestion for a better power fitting the guy's portfolio?

Is this that Lords of Creation thing?

That's weak sauce compared to the Edition War. :P

OOoh, pretty art. Where's that turtle from?

I'm simultaneously reminded of Terry Pratchit's Discworld and the latest pokemon game. A'tuin, I choose you!

Also... on topic... : /

Break the Tide
Like a rock standing strong against an oncoming ocean, you easily weather your foe's attack and respond with the fury of the Earth.
Free Action
Trigger: You or one ally is charged by an opponent.
Target: You or the ally charged.
Effect: The target takes half damage from the charge attack and can make a basic attack against the triggering opponent as an immediate reaction.

This reminds me of the story of Hercules vs. Antaeus. From Bullfinch's:
A celebrated exploit of Hercules was his victory over Antaeus. Antaeus, the son of Terra, the Earth, was a mighty giant and wrestler, whose strength was invincible so long as he remained in contact with his mother Earth. He compelled all strangers who came to his country to wrestle with him, on condition that if conquered (as they all were) they should be put to death. Hercules encountered him, and finding that it was of no avail to throw him, for he always rose with renewed strength from every fall, he lifted him up from the earth and strangled him in the air.
Maybe there's a part of channel divinity or some other feat which mimics Antaeus' ability - if you're knocked prone by an enemy, you gain a healing surge and also gain combat advantage. But you lose this if you're lifted off the ground.
