This system is based on 5 Classes ( a character climbs usually in every class)

Thief/Merchant = Appraising x Tactics
Warrior            = # Weapon Proficiencies x Hit Points Level
Cleric               = Wisdom x Charisma
Magic-User      = Swiftness x Memory
Politician         = Wealth x Nobility

# weapon proficiencies gives your total Ad&d 2.9E weapon proficiencies; a 1E 9th-level fighter bears 4+3=7 WP
Hit Points Level equals sum of (1,2,... hit points level) hit points; HP Level 3 = 6hp, HPL 9 = 45hp, HPL 15 = 120hp

multiply # WP with HPL;
you end up with a number: say # WP = 7 and HPL = 14 (for 91hp); #WP x HPL = 7x14 = 98;
then with every 10 points you gain a class level;
so with 98 points you are Warrior Level 9;
Warrior Level gives some basic things like THAC0.

now say you have #WP=10 and HPL=10 (55hp);
#WP x HPL = 10x10 = 100; Warrior Level 10.

a Warrior Level 20 could look like this:
#WP=10 and HPL=20 (210hp)
or
#WP=12 and HPL=17 (153hp);

remember that, as explained under 2.9E, weapon proficiencies can be spent to purchase different fighting styles as well
as specializing in (let's expand the rules with saying a few rather than just one) weapons.

...yes make a new system with new core classes that can then be extended upon, based on using the best of older and newer editions with math that's complicated enough to be fun but not so complicated that it's scary.... or we can just keep playng Star Wars: Saga Edition?

Truth be told, this would probably be very interesting if I understood half of it, I am a very young DM. I recommend you take this to "past editions", you'll probably get more praising there than here.

I've been following a lot of his threads and I promise you that this has nothing to do with your inability to understand it. I'm not sure that anyone except uglyvan does.

It honestly wouldn't be so bad if he posted a coherent thread that covered all his ideas, but he tends to post different ideas in complete isolation so you lack the context of all his other changes.
