i understand the logic behind the multiclassingsystem in 4e. but even knowing that, its still kinda...bleh. seemslike your not really multiclassing as much as dipping your big toe into another class.

this tweak is a simpleidea. so simple everyone reading this hasprobably thought of it already. just let players take the novice akolyte and expert (i forget the exact names and dont have a book in front of me) feats more then once. with a caviate that you cant have more owers from your secondary class then from your primary.

this seems like a simple enough fix to me. but im not one of those rule-virtuosos that can calculate thaco using they're fingers and toes. there could be some monstrous loophole in this idea that could leading to game-brakage that i just dont see.

so, is this idea worth while,or does it stink?

try discussing here so that we dont split

http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=1066069

and about taking the feats several times.... well you are burning feats and you are only swapping powers... but think about a wizard with controling powers bade from fighter and all that life.... might be balanced but it is risky.... if your group wants to do it like once or twice...

but take into consideration that you start retraining in lvl13
maybe you want to just give the chance to retrain into the second class??

the mayoor problem i see is with the flavor and stile moreover than rules or overpower, is you are a fighter... you are a fighter, to be a full wizard, you need years of practice, to be a ranger you need years of training, to be a rogue you need to be rised in the suburbs.... it could be cool for a character that starts over in the suburbs as a rogue to make the warlock pact and become a full warlok with the years, but thats like an exception.... ill keep the idea, in case one of my players want to play a character that changes lifestile
(Ill watch for powergaming here and there)
